LinguinTim is actually an extremely charismatic and friendly character, this is no way in the deepest pits of hell possible. They would never stoop as low as to hide posts.

He was the one doing it so

I miss being able to hide posts. The amount of flop threads I could've spared my fellow atrl'ers from Witnessing jonny5

Personally, I think us members with high reputation points should be rewarded with Atrl+ keir

Whining about a mod doing a jokey flamebait thread when what we should be doing is joining forces to fight the real enemey:

These stupid ass Britney vs Xtina sales and streams threads in the big year of 2026. There are children that graduated high school this year that were not even alive when this feud began. It's not even beating a dead horse, we're beating the dust that what used to be the corpse of the horse turned into.

swifties have a persecution complex. the atrl tide turned against taylor but they don't appreciate she's only one of many artists who get whacked here on a daily basis (gaga, katy, britney, xtina, etc). so yea, it feels like something needs to change, but he also has to balance that against the whining that probably led to those appointments in the first place. i don't think it's the case he doesn't gaf

incredibly disingenuous as best and a fucking lie at the worst. i’m really sick and tired of this victimization complex the lot of you are manifesting. it’s tiresome.

Let’s talk about this idea that mods aren’t supposed to make flamebait or trolling threads.

Flamebait is allowed in Base. Mods have always made shady, flamebait or tongue-in-cheek threads. They’re still members and are allowed to participate in the forum like everyone else.

Had people not seen @PenguinTim as the OP and immediately spiraled into Taylor Swift derangement syndrome, the point of the thread was pretty obvious. He was mocking how performative and ridiculous these stan arguments have become over artists having their music used by the White House without authorization. The same arguments that have been made about Taylor were being applied to Gaga. That was the point. Instead, people immediately made it personal.

And the narrative about posts being hidden is missing some context. I can see hidden replies. Tim initially responded to Sheep’s snarky comment with some snark of his own, thought better of it and removed his post. Sheep saw that he’d been quoted, screenshotted it and continued going after him for deleting it. What happened after that will be addressed privately, like all team issues are. I’m not doing that in HQ.

As for me supposedly knowing about these issues and “not giving a fuck,” I’m tired of that too.

There are two people in particular who have decided that because I haven’t responded the way they want me to, or on their timeline, I simply don’t care. One of them is now inserting himself into something he hasn’t even been a part of before. I’m not going to keep defending myself against that. I’ll continue doing my job like I’ve always done.

I explain myself around here far more than I’m actually obligated to because I do try to be transparent about these things. But there’s a difference between transparency and giving people a ringside seat to every internal conversation or review involving someone on the team. That’s not happening.

I blame Xtina stans for this. Their fave tries to stay relevant and continues to see poor numbers and Britney wants us to forget her existence and does not try to be iconic and legendary and God said NOOOOOO you will remain forever iconic and legendary and have these girls copy your prime height moments. You will continue to get millions of streams daily of your classic catalog. I guess I blame Britney for being so damn iconic and legendary that she transcends time and space. So yeah, Xtina for failing and Britney for continual thriving much to her dismay. I wish I was so iconic and legendary that I wouldn't have the try and the GP says YES for me , chyyyy

We need a ban on AI generated posts and threats or at least make them warnable (if they aren't already)

AI generated content is allowed, as long as it's content doesn't break the rules. Example: if you make an AI message shaming one of the girls, it's being warned; if you post an AI image of a kitten, it won't.

That wasn't an invitation to continue the nonsense here I fear

What if we unallowed it? It cheapens the forum greatly, and pretty much all uses of it have been to clog threads with absolute nonsense.

Like the thread about Britney opening up about her pain having AI generated slop images of her in a sombrero is borderline conversation ruining.

Even beyond it just being ugly as sin, I find it generally disruptive because nothing productive or engagement worthy can really come out of it. It's just a giant interruption.

If we aren't going to ban AI generated content, we should at least require users to disclose its usage in posts and make it warnable not to disclose. (Yes this sets AI posts up to be mass downvoted, yes that is my point: if you won't prohibit it we should at least be allowed to tarnish the reputations of members diminishing the site by posting that crap). matty

The owner is a supporter of AI. So we won’t be eliminating it in its entirety. If they all out of the parameters established it will be dealt with. That doesn’t stop you all from mass downvoting low effort AI generated threads.

That thread isnt in base, it's in celebria. The thread is very clearly against the site rules.

He can do that without insinuating that it's news by posting it days later without the context that it's an not official sound from her page, its an edit from a fan page. It's not the same situation as the one blondie got embroiled into.

I'm not inserting myself into anything but ok. Anybody with a modicum of sense would read the OP of that thread and realize it's a ploy to bait Liddos into being angry and let other fanbases have a rip at her and her fans. I defend Lady Gaga and her fanbase because the people who moderate this forum's cortisol levels are so low that the only rush they get is from baiting other people into anger 24/7. It's apparently okay when I clap back the same way at Katy Kats like I did for days in the Watch It Burn thread but suddenly I'm inserting myself into 'something' for doing the same thing against a Swiftie.

Respond on whatever timeline you'd like to. Won't change my viewpoint much in this situation. 40 users liked my posts in the thread related to that moderator and agreed with the sentiments shared by me in that thread so it's clearly not an isolated issue to two people, that's basic math.
