Lots of revisionism here. On ATRL we loved Rebel Heart when it leaked. We thought those Avicii beats were about revive her career and serve COADF repeak. Tbh even early MDNA reactions were positive I wasn't around back then but I remember reading Classic ATRL posts and everyone was stanning over GGW, Radio, Falling Free, etc. Recency bias is a huge thing which is why I refuse to rate C2 against her old albums for now

But why? It would be so much easier on her too, doing a shorter set list and less shows. Two or three songs from her latest album and then one of her classics while the crowd sings a long and gets their life. Like those crowds would also be so much more appreciative of her than the dead boomers she usually gets in the US and Western Europe. Imagine the cute vids of her singing LAP/Vogue with all the non-fans singing along coz they heard it in Deadpool/Devil Wears Prada or whatever

Might sound crazy but I've always thought it would do wonders for her career if she had a stint as tour opener for a popular female artist with a female-centric audience (Taylor, Sabrina, Olivia). She really is heavily missing women representation in her fanbase and it is impossible to get competitive numbers without them. Even other LGBT icons usually have 40-50% female fans and part of it is of course ageism, but I think the younger (less ageist) audience just isn't that aware of her or even know she is still releasing music I know, I know music not the bling and we don't care about numbers, but she deserves so much more appreciation for everything she has done.

Beyonce doesn't have a hit this decade.
