So the other thread about merging just got deleted, just wanted to leave my two cents here instead:

I'm aware I'm in the minority here but I actually find it super helpful that threads which are essentially duplicates get merged almost immediately. It makes the Thread Merge Requests section more and more obsolete in most cases. I also like that thread titles are updated very quickly to reflect new developments even when the OP isn't online at the time. I thought that was a great improvement after the last batch of moderators was promoted.

That said, I absolutely understand the criticism of merging unrelated topics into one or more megathreads where smaller but specific details can get lost. That issue could and should be handled very differently.

Disappointed to see that thread deleted. I think a lot of the posts in it were horseshit but the frustration people are feeling is very real and valid, they just don't know who or what to point that frustration at and are grasping at straws because nobody will even admit there's an issue.

Any Modlor care to explain why this got deleted? It's getting to a point
