What is highly strange about your argument is it assumes we live in a society that OVERLY punishes rapists, and therefore need to correct in the opposite direction. Rape is a highly underreported crime because it is highly common for rapists to NOT be punished, to be let off with a slap on the wrist, to not even be arrested at all. Our society very plainly does not "hold rapists accountable" as you say you want, leading people to never come forth. Mass incarceration in a very real problem, particularly when it comes to over prosecution of petty crimes, to which POC are the leading victim of. Rape is not a petty crime. Advocating for potential rehabilitation/therapy while in prison is one thing, but you are seeming to argue for this in place of adequate punishment, simply because he is a minor.

Sis, I say this with love, you do realize that people will keep getting diagnosed with cancer regardless of whether a previous set of people are "cured". And this is even running the thought experiment that there would a vaccination for every type of cancer. And also ignores what a vaccination itself is, and what cancer itself is. You will never be able to "stop cancer from manifesting", it is by definition cells not behaving the way they are supposed to, it's basic probability and statistics. We have trillions upon trillions of cells in our body, one of them is bound to go haywire at some point. In fact it happens every day to the majority of people, our bodies usually take care of it for us, and nothing comes of it. When those mechanisms fail is when cancer happens. This is why screening tests are the gold standard for cancer prevention in the majority of cases (along with other things such as lifestyle modifications). It increase the probability that, if a cancer is forming, i.e. cells in your body are misbehaving, you can catch it early and therefore be able to effectively treat it and hopefully nip it in the bud, i.e. "cure" it. But that "cure" is for that one misbehaving lump of cells. There is a reason why many cancers manifest in older populations, because the longer someone is alive, the higher probability there is that at some point, one of their cells will start misbehaving. Medical conspiracy theories just don't make sense because it ignores fundamental basics of science and population statistics

Cancer is by definition just cells dividing in ways they're not supposed to, i.e. uncontrollably, and at a certain point this begins affecting other cells/structures around it. It can quite literally happen to any type of cell in your body, which is why treatments and prognoses are so vastly different for every type of cancer. Add in genetic and environmental predispositions/comorbidities/relevant risks like smoking/alcohol consumption, and the picture gets even more complicated. Talking about "cures" when it comes to cancer usually is used as a simpler way to explain treatments/data to the public, but often gets misinterpreted because the reality is much more complex.
