Your hole and halo got something in common then and I'm not talking about the gaping center. :giraffe:

STREAM HALO

It was extremely overplayed back in the day so people are sick of it now, and it's not a very impressive song compared to many of her other hits. It's very generic late 2000s radio filler, especially with the Already Gone controversy.

It got overplayed. If history is any lesson, it'll probably bounce back to being one of her most streamed someday when it goes viral or something.

In my country where it's a cultural staple it's already been replaced by ARUTW. We don't use Halo anymore. Listen's popularity has declined as well.

They heard the OG version and liked it more

Wow Beyoncé really gave this song some life.

If you really believe people wake up and think let me stream whatever song is @#1 you're so wrong. With Spotify everything is about money and playlists.

Halo will remain one of the most popular Beyonce songs and no algorithm will change that.

Over 500k streams every day is really good, and these daily streams are still the third best for her on Spotify, after Crazy In Love and Telephone. It's obviously not forgotten, even though it's true that it was even more successful on streaming a few years ago.

I think it's going through the natural cycle of a song being so popular for waaayyyy too long that now it's been overplayed in most households. It iwll likely pick up steam again in a few years. Songs like that always make a comeback somehow lol. It's a classic at this point.

It's one of the corniest songs ever by an mpg. Who tf tells their man "I can see your halooo oohh" to get his peepee up? :deadbanana2:

i love the song but yeah its very millennial sounded idk what to describe it. but gen z won't touch it

I don't think that's what the song is trying to do:suburban:

OT: It sounds very dated like all the singles from Sasha Fierce.

People are finally Halo'd out. About time. Let another hit or ballad single get some steam.

"best song" :rip:.

Her best songs are Crazy in Love and Formation (this song is super forgotten, but it's one of her best).

OT: Not surprised, it sounds dated.

It doesn't work under any context though. If someone told me they can see my halo as a way of expressing their love, admiration, etc I'd run for the hills. Unless both parties are mormons, it's not a normal thing that normal partners say to each other.

I'm shocked that she only has two tracks above 1B. Britney stopped releasing 8 years ago and her label doesn't bother with the Discovery Mode antics and even she has 4 1B+ tracks :deadbanana:

OT: Halo used to be the face of autoplay on Spotify. We're burnt out and the song was never that popular organically.
