You're right, partially. I wouldn't criticize her as harshly bc in my eyes that woman has the primitive motherly instict at least. I would still advice her that adding a baby to her already messy life would lead to even more problems and chaos though. If her life is a constant mess, does that mean she should never become a mother despite her innate love for kids? Idk, it gets muddy and too philosophical after a certain point. Regardless, it doesn't read the same when someone just wants to keep their body tea so they'll have someone else carry the baby for them. Do you really not see a difference between the two?

It doesn't necessarily have to do with rich people exclusively. If "vanity surrogacy" becomes the norm and somehow an affordable option even for working class couples then I will still side eye those who choose that path regardless of their wealth. I don't know how much simpler I can explain it lol For example, if a woman doesn't want to put on "unnecessary" weight and/or a man doesn't want his wife to put on that weight therefore they choose to have a surrogate, to me, that's a massive red flag regarding their level of parenting. In 2026 where such an option is still exclusive to the elites, again, to me, those elites are incapable parents by default. We can agree to disagree on that.

You're making this about something it's not. The idea that a couple who are perfectly fit and healthy to deliver a baby themselves prefer to hire someone else to do that for them just reeks superficiality, which isn't the best foundation to start a family in the first place.

Maybe bc the everyday woman will provide the most important thing of all; love and care?? As opposed to the rich capitalist who won't only have others deliver the baby for them but also hire a bunch of nannies to do the rest as well?

But if a woman is gonna get pregnant anyway then why not the intended mother?? Acting as if a pregnancy is a chore the couple can hire others to do for them tells me everything I need to know about their ability to raise children. This obviously doesn't apply to women who are at risk, I'm only referring to those who choose surrogacy purely out of vanity aka the elites of the world.
