Someone wants on the "who to drag" list whenever Gaga scores another hit, I see.

We're talking quintessential smashes that also went #1 and were gigantic during their initial run. Love Story wasn't a hit in many territories in the 2000s. So I wouldn't count it. It's a hit but it's no Poker Face.

Well luckily you don't make the rules on what a hit is.

Her discography has many hits: Just Dance, Poker Face, Paparazzi, Bad Romance, Alejandro, Telephone, Born This Way, Judas, Applause, Shallow, Always Remember Us This Way, Die With A Smile, Abracadabra. What are you on about.

Taylor has a smash hit for the 2010s and 2020s. She doesn't have a Shake It Off for the 2000s. Beyoncé has for the 2000s but she doesn't have one for the 2010s and 2020s. Madonna is probably the only one as she has several smash hits in the 80s, Vogue in the 90s and then Hung Up in the 2000s.

I don't think there is someone like Gaga in terms of quintessential worldwide mega-hits in three decades. Each of her peers lacks that one song, maybe Rihanna would've been able to if she continued but other than her? We're talking a Poker Face each decade. That's very hard. Even Michael Jackson doesn't have that.

We don't want to stain the success with Bruno's recent gazillion flop collabs.

Whoever thought someone with THAT big of a peak would just fizzle out and all of the millions of stans she got would just abandon her and listen to some vanilla music is pretty stupid. Whenever she first flopped I knew she would come back because she has that special something about her that is just meant to shine. And that special something doesn't just disappear.

I don't agree with these takes. Objectively, Miley hasn't achieved more than Gaga or even Katy musically at all and has been flopping the second she parted ways with the Hannah Montana brand with Can't Be Tamed. She has one truly big era which was Bangerz and even that was largely due to the controversies of her looks and how she behaved. She then flopped back-to-back again until she made Flowers but the album still flopped. She doesn't have a dedicated fanbase, she's mostly just famous. And this is the conclusion you can get to by looking at her stats. Why she gets treated differently when she flops than when Gaga or Beyoncé do is because they are held to a much, much, much higher standard simply because they are way bigger and more relevant than her.

She may have a few good videos but to give her an award like she was the best of the best to ever do it is a stretch.

Hate comments like these because back then people were mocking that music and claiming real music was charting a decade or two prior. OT: Queens both reigning. What a time. And Janet would score another #1 with All For You in the following year as well.

Dai Dai isn't her biggest hit in Europe. That's Waka Waka. There are many more official single charts in Europe now than back in 2010 but that doesn't mean the song is bigger.
