I have to be honest, even if she released vie in the summer or whatever I still dont think people would connect with it cause of the 80's sound especially

She prob expected this sound to be polarizing in todays landscape and said *** it ... got to keep moving

The fact that she has multiple songs viral right now (Moo, Been like this) shows that gen z and Tik Tok are still here for her. She just needs a more palatable sound

Is it her last album with Kemosabe ?

Fingers crossed. If she had the same deal as Kesha it would be her last.

The album just doesn't fit anywhere in the current sonic soundscape. That's okay, the music is good.

But no one wants to hear 80s R&B right now I guess.

Vie just got me back on again whewwww

but i totally understand why the gp is not on board.

tbf the weeknd has been underperforming as well

his biggest hit from his last era are timeless and são paulo, two songs that aren't 80s r&b or pop

In 2020-2022? Cause lowkey HUT didn't do so great.

I think if this album had come out during that time, or even when Scarlet did, it would have done a lot better. But the GP is just over that sound now because of, like you said, artists like The Weeknd already over-saturating it.

Vie departs the French album chart this week. The album is only charting in Australia, New Zealand, and America now. Australia/NZ dates are still not sold out, lots of open sections, and it looks like some sections are now blocked off. I really don't want to see the tour canceled

France

14 - 71 - 116 - 165 - OUT

New Zealand

4 - 13 - 18 - 22 - 25

Australia

6 - 16 - 18 - 27 - 33

Ugh I hate that this era got abandoned similar to RO

hopefully she recoups with collabs during/after the tour, this is a truly tragic performance.

i really like the album but i'm a scarlet fan and that stayed with me much longer :emofish:

TLC
I saw I creeped
She's in our bed
I bought the sheets
Pour ça, non merci
J'ai vécu ma vie
Don't fall asleep
Adieu
Bonne nuit

First album of her i have listened and i love it , on repeat . ❤️❤️

This is gonna achieve cult status. Bookmark me. If it wasn't rushed, promoted more, released earlier she wouldn't be in her current predicament. Y'all also have to remember she also burned alot of goodwill with her last era. So this new era was a palette cleanser to get the general public back on board and have a "we love her" moment again. I hope for one more music video and a deluxe edition

She conjured Gwen Stefani's spirit on Silly! Fun! OMG

The whole album could've been Gwen Stefani's.

She is Gwen Stefani's successor.
