Tate is just kinda bland but she has appeal and that's what this song is. Bland but I can see the appeal if someone likes her music. It's not interesting or even new for her but it's listenable and that's enough

I visited family this weekend back home in Phoenix and there were so many Biggs signs in my old neighborhood ddd I'm pretty confident Hobbs will win and make them seethe but also her choosing a Republican running mate, being Veto Queen, a charisma black hole and a horrible debater but still being this popular is a kii. Arizona is truly the state of moderates and risk-avoidant politicians, truly the house that John McCain built. I'm still shocked candidates like Kari Lake even got close to winning here, but not shocked Biden was able to take 2020, Sinema was able to get into the senate seat and Hobbs seemingly coasting into another term as governor.

My only thing to this is that Harris always seems to drop like a rock in popularity the more she speaks. People seem to like her in theory, you can even see it in her polling early on in her presidential runs. Then she always loses momentum after her debates (bar the 2024 against dementia patient Trump) or interviews. I'm not saying she won't win the nomination if she runs, cause I have already resigned myself to that long ago, but I don't think it's set in stone either. Something about her seems to really drive people away when she gets out there in front of everyone, whether that be because of her word salad, people exposing her flip flopping or just because people don't connect with her. Biden had the same issue in his run, but Biden had never lost a presidential race post-VP position and was the VP of the most popular Democrat this century. I dunno, I know she's going to win, I'm just interested in seeing how difficult it is and if it's going to be a nail biter or a blowout like early polling suggests. And I hate to say it, but a Harris presidency is going to lead to such a disaster in 2032, I *almost* hope she loses in 2028 but we'll just have to see where the country's at when we get there, if it's still in tact that is

No Comma remains one of her best songs, she needs to find a way to incorporate it into her future set lists because to me it has a touch of all of her eras and blends the Starf*cker and WGIA sounds super well

I hated this song live and I hate the studio version too. Midtempos don't have to be so repetitive and go nowhere, yet this one does. Sadly, WGIA$ has gotten its first skip for me with this. BNC$ and even Crank 2 are miles better than this, and this does seem to be the Unknown Loverz B-side and UL stomps all over this, while Crank and BUC$ were pretty close in quality to their sister songs. Maybe it'll grow on me and I like the video a lot but overall I think this one could have stayed in the vault. Still very excited for the rest of the deluxe, especially nekromantik! Pretty sure it's been said that Old Fling$ inverse is actually $$$ on the deluxe but idk if that's true

This album is.. very good! Probably his best yet honestly. Canada Dry is also probably his best song ever. People dragged She's the Best and Party way too hard, both are great. Troye Meets World is also a major bop. Overall, some of the songs are the same delivery as alot of his other stuff but the production is amped up way more so it makes up for it. I don't find any song boring, I just wish Troye would toy around more with his vocals like he did on Party, he cadence is always the same on his mid tempos which causes things to sound a bit samey, but like I said, the production on this album saves it from that same fate. I'd give this a solid 7.5/10. I do want him to fully delve into the bop bad eventually but this album is clearly showing lots of growth from him.

Well it's not really about just stopping Trump is it? Again, Trump is treated like this problem in a vacuum where if we disappear him, we're suddenly on course to world peace and harmony for all time. The "Appease The Non Existent Undecideds and Moderates!" has failed for the last decade and Democrats only big wins have occurred in the wake of ultimate Republican failure— failures that never get fully resolved because of Democrats opposition to breaking the mold, ever. I didn't read Mamdani's statement today, but regardless how representative of the entire left is a crowd in NYC anyways? And even if every left wing voter was like that.. well honestly things would be a lot better. But narratives like this just feed into the culture war that the right gets to benefit from, meanwhile they lead Neo-Nazi marches and push North Korea-esque Dear Leader propaganda. And that's honestly the majority of the Republicans' base, I don't think Palestine protestors in NYC are representative of Democrats' base so it's a non-issue anyways. Beyond that, like I said, I don't really care if AES, or any other Democrat, loses if they're going to try and bend over for stupid arguments against them. We're so far gone in this country at the moment, if he can't win in a political environment like this then he'll just lose whenever people decide they love Republicans again. If he lost while combating the ridiculous standards Democrats and the left are held to, then at least there would be some solace in losing with principle. Republicans do it all the time. Hasan is fundamentally inconsequential to people's lives. Feeding into the idea that he's actually dangerous is in no way helpful to the idea that the left can just… exist and express opinions. Again, no one is calling Nick Fuentes, Ben Shapiro, Turning Point, etc to say "hey tone down the racism!" And everyone just seems to be under the impression that we should just throw up our arms and say "well, that's just the way it is! Racism is fine but controversial, yet true, takes are BANNED!" It's just kinda insane to me because just 3 years ago, no one would have thought Israel would be as unpopular as it is now, but because people didn't shut up about Palestine, Israel is actually a losing hill to die on for the left. Just 6 months ago, people were in this thread saying the Democrats will never ever have the senate again. Everything is just so short sighted. The idea that we should just give up all the time because we need to "win" when that "win" just turns into broken promises (see: Biden admin) because Democrats acquiesce to non-issues and unreliable voters, it just doesn't feel like a win at all to me. Sure whatever, tell Hasan to shut up (it's too late anyways, whatever damage he did is done), but now that Hasan being told to shut up is making headlines it just feeds into the fractured left again, rather than just sticking to your guns since the AES campaign already rolled the dice on him. Even more insane is the fact that we'd likely have Stevens as the candidate if Hasan didn't help anyways. It's all just so ridiculous and I don't see a reason to tell Hasan to stop now, they should have just never used him at all if that was going to be the case.

I know you both generally agree with Hasan and aren't really the problem here, but I really can't reconcile with the idea that Republicans can do whatever they want forever without consequence but Democrats can't even veer off the respectability politics course for even a moment, not even in a Democrat favored environment like this.

If the AES campaign team didn't want controversy or to be aligned with Hasan who is very openly controversial, then that's their misplay. But Trump's entire campaign strategy is MAGA which basically ****s on the US and makes it out to be a hellhole as is, yet he still wins. He gets associated with trash podcasters like Charlie Kirk or Logan Paul and still gets away with it. I get that conservatives have a different standard to live up to, but this constant acquiescing to people who are being dishonest about Hasan and the AES campaign is, simply put, stupid. If it wasn't Hasan, it would be literally any other reason to bring down AES.
