There's an argument that Fauci's pardon prevents him from being tried as a criminal and the Fifth Amendment does not apply to non-incriminating statements, I believe. It's still stupid and there's still plenty of room for Republicans to try and prosecute Fauci despite the pardon, as we've seen them disrespect the law before, but that's where the basis of holding him in contempt is coming from and why Donald was able to plead the fifth so many more times than Fauci since he wasn't pardoned.

This album is definitely different from all her other ones in the past, I'm not sure why people are saying she needs to switch it up Like I don't expect Ariana Grande to make an industrial rock or ska album, nor do I particularly want her to. I'm a fan of artists who do switch it up yes, but she's not Bjork or even Charli, she's a full fledged MPG and this was more than enough of an evolution. Some artists don't evolve at all and still smash so I don't know why this critique is levied against Ari when Petal is a bigger evolution than Olivia has had or Billie who continue to smash or even older artists like Adele who changed just about as much as Ari has overall in recent years, if not less. I guess you could argue someone like Bey evolved a lot lately, but if we're talking reasons why Petal isn't a blockbuster smash, Cowboy Carter and Renaissance weren't exactly mega smashes either. And this is no shade to any artist I listed at all, I love everyone I listed and all their recent outputs but I don't think a "lack of evolution" is the explanation here. Just take a look at the charts, nothing on Petal is exactly trend hopping onto the awful country and ambient Starbucks soundtrack music that seems to be doing well right now. Is any pop girl besides Taylor and Olivia doing exceptionally well anyways? It just seems like Petal is on the level of an era like MBF and that's fine. The music is fine, the era is fine, everything's fine really. Can't always come out with a monster smash album, the GP has awful taste at the moment too so I personally wouldn't want that anyways.
