Where does Miley go from here?

It's so easy to claim that once someone starts to flop. Yet the investment in spotify and radio suggests otherwise.

Yes because she personally set those radio and playlist deals up and not her label, which is literally their job and in their best interest, regardless of what Miley, the artist, craves :toofunny3: for people seemingly interested in pop music, yall seem to be very obtuse over how it works.

  • take a ton of lsd, shrooms, ket, ayahuasca, san pedro, datura and make something like dead petz again. that was her creative peak

  • Some people talk about chart performance like miley is gonna have to go hungry now. She's fine. More fine than any of us will ever be. Enjoy the music.

  • The same handful of users trying their hardest to shove Miley's flop numbers down our throats   She doesn't care, she's making the music she wants, and she will continue doing that whether

She needs to go back to work.. she is a natural performer, she belongs on stage.

Arenas, Festivals and Stadiums.... not the Chatau Marmont 10 people capacity bar

She did it for the art, not the charts.

She can bounce back with a better (more radio friendly) album next era. She's still young and has a good legacy of hits behind her to carry her. I would love more rock Miley Cyrus. Another Plastic Hearts, please!

Ya'll are always so ******* dramatic. She had a flop album and it was an experimental album with several songs over 5 minutes long. It was never likely that it would perform well.

We all thought Miley was done being commercially successful since 2015 and then 8 years later she had the biggest hit of her entire career and one of the biggest songs of the century with Flowers.

She'll keep making the music she wants to make and made it clear in this promo cycle in all interviews that she never plans to promote her projects heavily again. She should keep making the music she wants and slowly build a new core base of people who genuinely vibe with this more individual sound she's making.

If she happens to get another smash like Flowers, great. We clearly know it's not out of the cards for her. But she likely won't and it's fine. She's had two #1 hits, several top ten hits, several massive eras and big cultural moments. She doesn't need more. She just needs to do what she likes to do which is make music and perform.

I think there needs to be a conversation about gay pop fans being too chart-obsessed :rip: It feels so backwards when an artist makes good music, good content, they're in a good place with themselves, and then you have terminally-online "fans" talking about "she's not working hard enough, she's a flop, she should be making music for the charts"

Miley will always be famous. And will always be successful. She'll be like Britney, like Madonna. Always hitting hard. Always being successful

A tour. I'm convinced that's all she has to do, allow her fans to share videos of her performing to generate hype. Get out of those hotel bars she insists on performing exclusively.

Unfortunately, this isn't a music based forum. It's a celeb gossip forum above all. Users take pride in ignorance when a base thread pops up asking about a less successful artist (or comparing a musical effort of one to a more successful artist), and unless it's a prominent artist who charts, threads will go ignored by a lot of users when new music is posted about it.

she's going to release another album and talk trash about this one

She's gonna go wherever she wants. You all care more about her charting than she does.

jazz/cinema like mother monster

But she can't act like gaga

She can buy herself flowers, or carve her name in the sand....🤷‍♂️

Become a touring artist and rebuild her fanbase. She's an amazing performer and she shot herself in both feet by not touring!

She says she can't tour because she has a health condition concerning her voice. She also says she prefers to do small scale shows (like 250 ppl max) over bigger venues

Make another album.  She made a fantastic album and she should be proud.

Record more music under her terms as she's been doing for the past 2 eras.

Go for a dark atmospheric glitchy industrial deconstructed club vibe.

Aren't you tired? She will have another random smash in a few years. She's a very volatile artist. She has been "flopping" since the late 2000s lmao.
