She can't do vocal gymnastics like some of the heavy hitters but the betch CAN sing. Yoi don't make some of the best pop ballads of the last 40 years without being able to carry a tune. I'd take her voice over many of the vocal belters any of the day.

Honestly at a certain point when you've been around long enough it doesn't matter as much. She's about to turn 40 so it's not going to get easier, but it could obviously happen. I gave up hope on Madonna scoring solo hits after 50, but there is so much more for artists you love to continue to accomplish aside from scoring top 10s which is 99.9% of the time a younger artists game. At some point you have to be happy as hell they are still putting out albums they are passionate and, or are still touring, and the charts need to be left behind.
