I read the interview and first of all, this was so poorly written I don't think a single editor was involved. More importantly, Galas was really focused on a kind of authenticity that no longer exists. The entire genre of country has had a similar pop music sheen for a long time. She didn't need to do all that. And what was with the interviewer also adding a nasty, biased spin on that question?

What is Chanty Beluga's stance on billionaires and techno-fascism? Is M3GAN a queer ally? Is Samantha Jones my friend?

Her verse on girl, so confusing being the advent for both "Let's work it out on the remix" and "You walk like a *****, when I was ten someone said that." The pen is as mighty as the Lorde.

Stats and numbers are only part of the equation, it really is about about the quality of the art! It's purely coincidence that I stan Alison Krauss, who aside from Beyonce, has more Grammys than any other female artist in history. I don't just pick convenient statistics that benefit my fave, like American Bluegrass artist Alison Krauss. I love how she plays the fiddle.

Not true! They actually offered Sky the WH soundtrack first, but she couldn't meet the deadline so she forced Charli to finish it. Then Sky basically repeated that mistake again for Music, Fashion, Film. That was also originally a Sky project that was unfinished, that's why it sounds like that. Charli has worked really hard to prevent her from getting in trouble, but Sky is kind of a bad friend. :/

Ready for the follow up to this being her Hejira!

So many artists have tried to make this album but could literally never.

I was just thinking about this recently! She was able to make an album that at times perfectly encapsulates the feeling of summer. It is aging fairly well. That being said, I still don't think it is fully resolved. This project is not 'feral' by any means. Potentially, her biggest issue as an artist is that she cannot properly talk about or describe her own albums despite being a strong writer. It just seems like she picks up ideas throughout the process of making an album, but by the end it doesn't have the same meaning as when she started. I understand SP better now, but it was not helped by her newsletter or interviews. She might benefit from an editor prior to the next release, or saying nothing and doing a surprise drop.

I prefer this to On Wires, and could see this growing on me more. It feels like it actually meets the premise of the Day side. Really do not love the pre-chorus and chorus on this. The verses feel like a different, better idea entirely.
