I believe that while Taylor had a juggernaut start - and even blocked Billie in the Billboard 200 - HMHAS is enjoying more longevity than TTPD

Hopefully 3rd album by a newcomer is outperforming a 11th album by an artist who is 2 decades into her career

The one album that has the word HIT in the title, because it's only one that served them.

The fact that HMHAS has multiple true hits is really carrying it, so definitely that one

In terms of units, TTPD is still ahead but HMHAS has had better longevity and somehow feels bigger.

Well HIT ME's juggernaut longevity so far is unheard of in the streaming era aside from SOUR, and it's been doing more daily streams comparatively a year later without her doing literally any promotion for it outside the first three months and a tour so

TTPD is still ahead in units by a relatively significant margin, and the gap isn't closing fast enough for that to change in the next year or so. It'll pick up in consumption again as soon as Taylor is actively releasing or touring, too.

The fact that HMAS is outstreaming despite having 1/3 the amount of songs says it all. 

People sorta misunderstand words and questions on this website. Does HMHAS obviously have bigger hits and better longevity than TTPD? Yes. Is it bigger? Objectively no. TTPD has vastly superior chart peaks, vastly superior chart performance, and significantly more units. Is it possible that Billie will eventually close the units gap because of her stronger longevity? Yes. However, Taylor's catalogue is very reactive when she's actively promoting. When she fires up the engines again, it's likely TTPD will get a significant boost. We'll need more time to see how the units shake out in the end, especially as Billie's hits die down. Feel your vibes all y'all like, but TTPD is the factually right answer for now. Asking which is bigger has a literal answer. 

 

If you wanted to ask about longevity or hits that's a different question with a different answer.

And only one of them spent 17 weeks at the top

Releasing the biggest 11th album by a female ever... after releasing biggest 10th, 9th, 8th, 7th, 6th and more...

Others should be brave enough and compare their 4th releases to others' 4th, like Red, Like A Prayer and more

People downvoting my response where all I did is point out that TTPD has better chart peaks & runs and bigger units 

Only one fanbase is acting insecure in this thread and it isn't the eyelashes 

 

It'll likely take HMHAS a couple more years to pass TTPD's units at current rate. So no, for now.

HMHAS might end up bigger over time, but it isn't yet.

 

Streaming-wise, it is getting close and Billie should surpass before the end of the year, but I could see Taylor rebounding when she becomes active again. Sales-wise, it's a no match though.
