I mean, we've known this since they couldn't let her sweep the Grammys in 2024 after having a bunch of different artists do so years prior. She wasn't even favored to win this Emmy anyway

I watched the video earlier, and several points were made.

Love that girl even though swiftologist's pick me energy has rubbed on her a little.

Anyway, she is overstating the obvious between SoG & Begin Again.

Reason : She decided to pander to audience like Travis Kelce who never appreciated her music anyways. And that MSG wedding has left very poor taste in people's mouth

I never expected her to win any of those Emmys - it just makes sense that a Disney+ release that was basically just the second version of a much more succesful and talked about theatrical release wouldn't stand a chance against Bad Bunny's much bigger halftime show.

i'm not surprised about the Emmy nominations. i'm sorry, but you released the same concert film 3 times (sure, the final show had a new setlist tacked on), but like…

also, if the oscar's aren't until march, how much longer is she going to drag on this campaign for i knew it? it's feeling inauthentic now

There's nothing on TLOAS quite as atrocious as ME! (one or two come close) and folklore came a year later to give her an appreciation from critics she'd never seen the like of.

I'd be a little frustrated if she ends up devoting the rest of the year pushing IKIIKY for an Oscar win when in reality… everyone is just sat around waiting for Debut TV.

I like IKIIKY but I think Phoebe Bridgers is pushing an original song for Primetime and awards season has barely even started yet… she'll end up having a lot of competition as the year wraps up.

It makes me happy how appreciated Poets is these days… at least within the fandom.

I think it'll take the GP another ten years or so but they'll get there eventually.

It would just be…truly crazy for her to jump through these hoops for country radio for one song that is already a Hot 100 number 1 and for her to waste the narrative opportunity of the 20 year anniversary.

People are going to spin a crazy narrative about greed when/if she releases Debut TV and I think billing it as the 20th anniversary edition would take the teeth out of that. It's like a literal perfect opportunity for her to release something that could've easily never seen the light of day. I have to believe the announcement is coming soon.

If anything, Debut (20th Anniversary Edition) would strengthen her Oscar chances. The positive publicity and image boost would certainly be worth more than the attention it would take away from IKIIKY...

Plus, it's clear that part of her campaign is reconnecting with country radio/voters and debut would certainly help with that
