taylor has production credit because she's in the studio with jack and had contributions like how she wanted parts of it sound like, not because she sat her culo down and touched any music software.

I mean, I could see her having made the effort to learn by now! She's been getting producer credits regularly for so long now that I can imagine her wanting to do it herself one day much like Speak Now was self-written, and we all know when she puts her mind to something she's gonna get it

God, she really did that with Love Story and You Belong With Me. I was interacting with the Chiropractor in another thread and pulling stats for those songs. It's true that country basically never smashes outside the Anglosphere (and rarely outside the USA), but Love Story is the 2nd most streamed female song of the 2000s decade on Spotify! Did y'all know its music video has more views that Just Dance, Disturbia, So What, and I Kissed A Girl? You Belong With Me has the same view count as Poker Face! Those songs were international numbers 1s back in the day! Love Story and YBWM might not have the chart peaks, but they really won the race in the end and totally against the odds. See, when you make the best music of all time...

Not to mention the ratio of features for other artists. Rihanna, for instance, shares credits for 8 of her number 1s. Taylor shares for 2 and Fortnight would've been number 1 with or without that feature lol.

A TV and new album will be out this year. There's a Beatles BB200 record to beat. A #1 this year is required.

The prospect of a country single with Disney money backing to secure at least a week at #1, then in a few months the announcement of Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version) to be released on October 23rd, the day before its 20th anniversary (and the same week as five other major releases' anniversaries) complete with inevitable gems like Mary's Song (Taylor's Version) and fully produced, lossless versions of vault tracks like Dark Blue Tennessee - it's like coming out for fresh air after being buried alive for years!

It's a soundtrack song so I don't predict insane TLOAS level debut

Maybe 12M global and 13-14M filtered. And of course #1 debut hot 100.

Too high. Country songs don't do well outside of 3-4 countries plus its a soundtrack song.

I'm predicting 3-4 million in US, 7-8 million global. Top 3 debut hot 100 (Texas song is still rising )

I can't engage with people who are boasting that an original soundtrack award at the Oscars is more prestigious than Album of the Year at the Grammys. They've lost the plot so badly they aren't even in the library anymore.

It's giving TheAllKnower saying Taylor's schedule for the 2020's was ruined and presenting the vaguest generalities during Covid, but I don't know anything. "Taylor will go on tour and focus heavily on gaining more fans in Europe, it will be a massive tour. She will release an album to support the tour. She will release another album the next year in the fall."
