Everything we know so far about Something Beautiful - from official sources and the only trustworthy insider (@teatimewMC on twitter):

 

The album is over 40 minutes long, has no features, with love being the main theme.

Sound wise it is said to be like nothing she's ever done: alternative sound mixed with country and pop elements. When asked about a defining genre the insider said that the album is equally rock, pop and country yet not mainly pop.

Producers include Miley herself, Shawn Everett, Micheal Pollack, Jonathan Rado and Maxx Morando, with at least one song co-written by Ryan Tedder. 

Some songs are described as bops (one particular song it said to be an old-school club banger) while others are 70s type of soft/edgy rock songs. She also has her longest song ever on the album said to be over 6 minutes long.

The lead single - yet to be confirmed to be released before or after the album drops (probably the latter) - is described as a groovy country-esque song that radios are going to eat up that has the potential to go #1, like other songs on the album.

 

Song titles: 

Something Beautiful, is co-produced by her boyfriend Maxx Morando as said in the Harper's BAAZAR interview from December 2024. It will be the album opener.

Walk of Fame, described as banger. 

A song with the word Girl in its title.

Golden Burning Sun, leaked and confirmed to be on the album with a reworked version that is really different from the one that originally leaked.

End of the World, performed by Miley in March 2024 at the Chateau Mormont. The version on the album is different and described as being a bop now.

Give Me Love, leaked and confirmed to be on the album as the closing track. The album version has a richer production with a lot more instruments to make it sound more epic.

Visuals: 

The film is described as a love story with the visuals being all connected by a narrative, Miley even has some lines. She started working on the album's visuals last year, we know that because a video - originally posted by a worker on tiktok - where she was caught before and after filming at the Paramount Studios in LA back in October 2024. Her social media team posted the album trailer 2x times on her IG and now posted-and-deleted-and-then-posted-again this new picture. They do everything in their power to kill her engagement rate.

They'll probably going to spent the next two months spamming pictures with the caption "Something Beautiful out May 30!" with no pre-save link available. 

Not having a lead single is a bad move

The love theme is a vague statement, it's actually about finding light and "something beautiful" in the good (love), bad and ugly. Like finding the positive that comes from heartbreak and death.

A 6 minute Miley song? And in the vein of rock???  Take my coins, mama!

 

But with that said— a 13 track album, one song at 6 minutes, leaves 34 minutes between the 12 other songs which worries me. She better let these songs breathe and not just give us a ton of 2 minute, half-baked songs. That wouldn't fit this vibe at all.

 

And I agree with others saying this needs a lead single BEFORE the album. The hype is not really there right now and this is a very different mood for Miley so unless they're very confident in this getting tons of critical and award accolades I think not releasing a single to build some commercial hype is a very bad choice. We'll see!
