No, EOTW debuted at #33 globally and #26 in the US.

Good that it debuted with the same numbers as EOTW, considering Spotify numbers are much lower overall now and honestly, EOTW sounded much more like a hit than BP.

I have my own list of criticisms towards Miley as a stan, but people really do the most when it comes to her albums. Let's put into perspective that in the last seven years all of Miley releases had songs that were either career highlights or were among the best pop songs released that year. Slide Away, Midnight Sky and Walk of Fame to name a few. Her material is actually much stronger now than the first half of her career and that is something that most artists can't relate, especially when you're doing it for nearly 20 years. Most pop girls become a caricture of their prime years by that point but Miley refuses to be reduced to that despite internet gays screaming for a "Bangerz 2.0 era" whenever they can. Those things alone put her in a much better place than some of the so-called MPGs with "great discographies" that are burned out and have nothing truly exciting to put out anymore.

These two concert dates for the BP release felt like something that would never happen just one year ago

But we love that, unlike most artists, not all of her hits come from the first few years of her career, they're spread out. A legend who never gets boring because you never know what to expect
