Yes. I can only stomach zero build and even then I only play to see my GaGa skin.

it's completely unremarkable, which is almost worse than being "bad" for a first/lead single.

No, its a great song. It is also so satisfying to sing. I think it is one of her best album openers, and the theme of it is so interesting.

It insists upon itself

The outro is good.

I love it.  It's sophisticated and melancholic, perfect for winter.

I find it to be a decent song

One of the worst songs I ever heard, next to the other 30 songs from its album. There's a reason why none of them hit 1B streams yet.

It was not the right choice for the single, and some girls (cc @Klein) are haters, but it expresses an interesting lyrical idea and there are some really nice production flourishes in the mix, and the build into the Post verse and the final minute is very nice (most notably the pulse at 3:22, which has always scratched the right spot for me). I can understand why it didn't land with some crowds, but it's not like there's anything actually offensive or bad about it

It's a decent song but it's not this classic 

 

 

 

There are better games out there. But at least you can play online for free in PS.

It's a great song.

 

It just was released as she started to hit an overexposure stage mixed with it being a mid tempo release before summer. Also, Post Malone had just released a collab with Beyonce so it didn't feel as novel.

 

TL;DR: Bad timing. In other years, it'd have been a bigger hit.
