I always knew MBF was a mistake. Too soon, too rushed, too bland in comparison to SnS. She should have taken more time with it Y'all are focusing on the strike being the second longest but her currently having only 2 songs above 1M atm isn't a good sign.. I'm sure she can be successful again but the music needs to be good this time

I get what you're saying, going straight to the album would not be a bad idea considering they already got it right with Housewife, hype would be there for sure. However, I feel like a more "daring" and unconventional promo single (in other words: not a song to push on radio) could work critics/acclaim wise (a "metric" where she still has to grow) + to build a narrative for the era.

On first listen I didn't think people would appreciate the song so much, I was expecting a Sports Car sized hit with bigger initial peak… but I'm glad the gee pee is fully embracing this pop perfection it's still only the first week but those updates are giving mega global hit Now I'm seeing a more "experimental" promo single for November together with album announcement; album release in February with another smash single.
