I don't think Rihanna reached her full potential until Umbrella while Just Dance is a stone cold classic so that.

Both are iconic, but I'm going to go with Pon De Replay. Rih's first 2 eras are so underrated.

Just Dance (album version) is just an okay song. Pon De Replay is better.

 

The Guena LG Remix of Just Dance blows both out of the water though.

Both major bops lbr, I prefer Just Dance but I will never say anyhing bad about Pon De Replay

Just Dance is stronger. Pon de Replay is nice and cute, but JD kind of blows it out the water.

At the time they were singles, Just Dance was just the MOMENT. But for me at least, over time, Pon De Replay has aged so much better. I voted for PDR for both my favorite and which sounds better in 2024. 

 

I prefer Just Dance's video though. Even though neither are particularly exciting (not bad either), I prefer JD.

I think in terms of sound, you can never go wrong with dancehall. Rih has proved it twice, 2nd time with Work. Electropop has that quality which is either very in trend or falls off hard, and sounds dated. 

 

Nonetheless - Gaga for debut and MV, Rihanna for sound.

I love the Just Dance MV so much because it's so dated and cute and just a perfect representation of that era of pop hedonism and escapism from the recession. WOW that song and My Life Would Suck without You really defined that exact moment in time lol

 

Pon de Replay is a better song and debut though imo!

I was hooked on Gaga when she debuted, but not because of Just Dance - although, I was hooked on Beautiful, Dirty, Rich. Her image and online presence captivated me. I sometimes vibe with it, but Just Dance is one of the few Gaga songs that usually just doesn't mesh with me. Pon De Replay is the better debut song and I'd go to listen to it over Just Dance 100 times over.

 

Never saw Pon De Replay music video and not about to go watch it for the purpose of this poll. Just Dance's music video is iconic, though.

Pon de replay by far .. that was the song that turned me into a Rihanna fan.  I remember watching MTV and I loved her at first sight

Just Dance is a BOP though and it was the same with gaga too but I never was a stan

I prefer the video for "Just Dance," but "Pon de Replay" has an undeniably catchy and hard-hitting rhythm. It never gets old to me.
