Yeah it was...a lot. It's a testament to the work ethic of The Supremes alumni...as hard as it was, the show just had to keep going. In May 1976, The Supremes also had a resurgance scoring their last top 40 (and first with Scherrie & Susaye) "I'm Gonna Let My Heart Do the Walking" and the penultimate album High Energy was the 2nd best charting since Diana departed. Florence was planning a comeback and doing press interviews, even performing a live gig a few months before and then gone. Diana got backlash from some for her appearance at the funeral. Here she is with one of Flo's daughters. In 1974, they had somewhat of a Dreamgirls reunion moment when Mary invited Florence to see them perform and Flo joined them onstage (though she didn't want to sing).
