it's overhated, not as bad as people make it out to be... I think people hate it because COADF is the predecessor, the album cover might turn some people off and some gays just hate Pharrell production in general (see: Ariana's sweetener)

if you have heard of a fan who was saved on 9/11 by going to a CD store to buy Glitter, 9/11 actually also saved Mariah's life she was being put through a series of facilities after her breakdown in 2001, and on 9/11 she was mysteriously released from the rehab facility she said in her memoir that she was almost got into a some sort of conservatorship (like Britney) around this time, but she took therapy and thankfully took back control of her life

i'll say that she obviously didn't write songs from scratch and it's more like she's given a demo, then she changes/add some parts or melodies and that is enough for her to get a credit (see: Woo demo vs album version), whereas for the previous albums (and Same Ol Mistakes, which is a cover) she mostly just record them as is (see: Diamonds or What's My Name demo vs album version)

imo this is just called a bad texter, in dating context if you like them enough you would answer them sooner or later or at least tell them "hey im busy rn ttyl" that takes like 2 secs to type and send
