Brat and Rennaisance are essential dance records. As for the 3rd I'm torn between Future Nostalgia, Confessions 2 and What's Your Pleasure. If I had to choose one outta three though, I'd go with Confessions 2 - perhaps a recency bias, WYP is stellar when it comes to production (lush, velvety), and FN had such a strong singles run (and is overall a strong album too), and even Eusexua is great too, but I prefer variety Madonna brings on hers. I don't feel like Slayyyyyter belongs here with her newest album, this should've been STARFUCKER imo.

I sometimes wonder where would she lead the R&B scene had she been still here. OIAM and ST sound so fresh and current, and that's because she pre-empted the trends 26 years ahead. She was so ahead of her peers, and I bet she's the center (or at least very close to) of every mood board when one is cooking an R&B album.
