Michelle's last album, Journey to Freedom (2014) peaked #29 on the Billboard 200, despite being a contemporary gospel album and also her first release on an independent label, eOne Music. 143 was not Katy's first or biggest flop era. In fact, her first flop was so agregious that her label was bankrupted and she changed her stage name from Katy Hudson to Katy Perry.
