To be fair, both fanbases are driving this feud. It's... tiring. 

 

Anyways, a friend and I just had to order the vinyl after the reveal, despite the shipping costs. I am so excited for the Donna sample 

Yeah I love both artists and it’s sad to see ppl tear down women who have great respect for each other. There is definitely space in the industry for both Gaga and Bey

There is, but there is no space for the deranged portion of that fanbase that is oftentimes racist towards Bey and actively tries to diminish her legacy. I will NOT tolerate it and I didnt forget these past years since Lemonade. They've got a big storm coming and they will eat humble-pie once again.

Literally love both ladies and they love + respect each other, so it's so.....odd. 

 

It feels like the synthetic stan war between them exists principally on ATRL and some obscure corners of social media. 

 

It'd be one thing if they didn't use each other, were competing in any way, or fell out. Of all the bases to feud, it's no....random. 

 

Anyway, both ladies are incredible and are permanently in the history books...for both their achievements and impact on culture.

I think the criticism she received from the rock and country committees (when submitting various songs from LEM for the Grammys) is a huge drive for these cohesive, fully conceptualized genre projects. If I remember correctly, some gatekeepers felt that she was trying to game the system. I wonder if the next act will have a different title, or be a continuation of Renaissance?

Act 1 has always been written before renaissance, so whatever the other acts are will have different names

Or they deleted it b/c it wasn't accurate and they got their information from the rumor mill. everyody has had their theories on what "act 1" means since it was announced.

Yes! I love seeing all these spelled out too, many I had forgotten about (when thinking of Rockyoncé).

I'd also add the Doors mashup with Ring the Alarm via OTRI.

Love the vinyl covers and wish some of these were the actual album cover. Not sure why I’m not digging that as much as I would have hoped to. 
 

Love the track list though, all these names keep us guessing and I bet some songs will be sooo different from what we expect. 
 

I want to get videos for all songs but I don’t want them all released at the same time (I really want this era to last). But If we can get a video for BMS in the next week or so I’d be very happy.

Don't know how true it is but apparently, Heated was a Drake demo from 2017 when he released More Life.

 

As for Mine, Beyoncè actually asked Drake to write the song for her.

The second part of the song with the solo Drake verse was produced entirely by Noah "40" Shebib. The entire song was written by Drake with Beyoncè providing additional melodies/harmonies.

Oh I never thought that before but this makes total sense from a word-standpoint.

 

Though, would that mean there is another title that groups all these "acts" together? By that logic there would be, if it's not "Renaissance".

 

I kind of have a feeling it is "Renaissance" though, and they just prefered "act i" before? it looks better like that, for one thing.
