I’m curious how Apple and Spotify will look next week

As long as I like the music, I don’t care about any of that.

Please understand that the OBHs will attempt to drag regardless of what happens next week. They’ve probably already pre-written all their drags, and they will alter them slightly based on whatever happens. Stop taking what they say so seriously and just laugh at them. If they are pressed enough to drag Bey, that should simply show you that she lives in their heads rent free and they are PRESSED.

There’s one particular user who enters every single Bey thread to say the most ludicrous, baiting nonsense and some of you take the bait every single time. He is clearly attempting to derail the thread and make it negative, and y’all fall for it. Stop doing that.

Next week, I want the hive to be in celebratory mode and living our best lives enjoying the music and (hopefully) the visuals. Try not to obsess over charts and streaming numbers, because ultimately they mean nothing at this stage of Bey’s career. Yeah, they may help some of you in your stan wars, but that’s a choice you have made to engage with that kind of stuff. You can always choose not to.

Looking at the writing credits, there’s no song that sound like it could be Country.

Variety were the ones that say it would have Country songs, they also said there was a Ryan Tedder song and that’s false too.

But the look gives country vibes.

I'm so glad I bought the vinyl (despite having nothing to play it on) as that cover is GORGEOUS! :WAP: Also those features?! I'm so f*cking excited! :duca:

Atrl is a ki it’s like an alternate dimension idk how y’all don’t giggle with these mentally Ill patients I hope they get the help they dearly need ??. Like in what reality is lady Gaga in the same sentence as Beyoncé someone please make it make sense. They don’t even realize it makes them look insecure because instead of being humble and being happy for Gaga they want to troll a girl light years ahead of her ?

This will be a country House album?

Just a dance album it seems, with the country tracks probably on the next act. I guess that’s where Ryan Tedder and more new producers (country writers etc) will show up.

I don’t even know what to say what hasn’t already been said, I am scared to listen to this album, not in a bad way though. I’m scared that when I press play, I’m going to have a stroke, the sounds and vocals that are going to bless my ears will send me to a higher plane of existence, and idk if my itty bitty heart can handle this amount of excellence, this amount of quality, I just… yeah. She’s sh*tting on b*tches so effortlessly and silently and I love her for that:busted:

Bey is gonna serve the Magnum Opus of her career. We thought it was ST, then came Lemonade and we were damn sure she won't be able to top that (even Adele said so). And now the ultimate Version of Bey emerges.

Shes serving Son Goku type of Evolution :jonny6:

If she tops this off with sickening visuals? I will be on life support I don’t even want to think about it rn:jonny4: people don’t perfect their craft like she does, it’s a dying concept we gotta cherish this crazy lady all we can no matter how irritating she can be she’s a genius through and through:jonny4:

Artistically it certainly did. The stages of grief woven into a commentary on current US America and generational problems - thats some incredible direction.

We can argue all day about which songs we prefer, but the intention and execution of Lemonade was certainly next level compared to ST.

sure Jan.

I’m loving the 80s/90s aesthetic of the Renaissance vinyl. That’s how you know the album is going to be a classic. I can’t wait!

No way. We had Hong Kong and now Indonesia??? Next, the Philippines and China please.

I saw China a few days back I swear..

I am SO happy I purchased the vinyl. That **** ain't coming out the packaging. She's outdone herself again and this is just the beginning. I'll buy myself the original version and listen to that on the record player instead.

I agree with most of this but I wouldn't say the execution was next level compared to ST, mostly because the philosohpy behind them is just different.

Lemonade is created and expanded around a narrative storyline that ties in everything together, whereas ST is a lot of different pieces that when put together form the essence of who Beyonce is as a person and as an entertainer, hence why the title. Lemonade portrays a specific story in her life, while ST paints a more broad picture of Beyonce as a whole.

I do think she topped herself again with Lemonade, not because she did something better necessarily but because she managed to do something very different while still delivering the quality and excellence of her previous record which was deemed as a career opus to that point. What Lemonade benefits from I would say is that it's more compact, ST could've used a bit of trimming imo.

Needless to say I'm beyond excited to see what she's been cooking up for Renaissance and it brings to the table :jonny4:

True and good analysis. Both are amazing projects, no question.

Can we talk about how Renaissance has 14 solo tracks? :jonny5:

Also, Move is going to serve Afrobeats/House excellence, maybe we underestimated ha? :jonnycat:

I agree, but then again I feel that 4 wins when it comes to vocals and production while ST shines for its darkness and experimentation.

Lemonade boasts the best storytelling and visuals so far. It is objectively her best piece of art, however I prefer 4 and ST for the music.
