Hm I disagree I think it works for the vinyl because of the big size but for small cds, and streaming platform icons it would've been too busy, the actual cover makes more sense. 
 

The picture itself is better yeah, though I'm not feeling the lip color, someone make an edit like they did with the dancefloor nnn  

The vinyl cover is better, but I’m glad the standard was used because it’s more sleek, to the point, and recognizable. The vinyl cover works because it looks like something you want to invest in for keepsake.
