So i wasn't really paying attention to the Eurovision season this year… was it expected that Sweden would tank that hard? My whole watch party was shocked (not becauae we liked the song, but because it's Sweden). We universally picked Dara as our winner so the excitemend (and relief) when she won was through the roof.

She created such an astonishingly impressive discography and videography. Getting to discover her work was such a pleasure. The album run from Control up to The Velvet Rope is such a tour de force, i can't think of many other artists who managed to to that. Not to say her later albums aren't worth a listen, but these four are just mind-blowing. Happy birthday, queen
