But ... the song is factually featuring Beyoncé, as in Beyoncé's voice is featured on the song, just not in the background but in the forefront. As specified there are three sections of the song where it's totally Beyoncé's voice. Credits don't need to reach a threshold for them to be there. Just look at how many features are DJs, who have no vocals on the song whatsoever and are essentially just underlining the fact that they produced the song. Beyoncé herself has a song "feat. Madonna" where it's just a Madonna sample, which shows that the artists involved can come to whatever agreement they want. A duet by definition is not trading off solo sections, it's just a piece written for two musicians. And in that definition, perhaps it's not a traditional duet, but something in between. Either way, she's on the song far more than you make it out to be. But as for the question of why she doesn't have credits, though neither party has said for certain, I think denying that it was likely Beyoncé who didn't want the credit is a bit of a stretch considering Coldplay clearly invited her to 1) be on the track 2) be in the video and 3) perform with them at their Super Bowl. But they stop at a feature on a song that she's factually on? It's far more likely that Beyoncé, who would very soon go on to release her own lead single for free and not release it to iTunes or radio or streaming was simply blocking her own chart potential at that moment. One one side we have Coldplay involving her as much as they possibly could; on the other side we have Beyoncé blocking her success. Where does this lack of credit seem to fit here?

It's interesting how this argument amounts to "Beyoncé is a fake, she pretended she always listened to country music" when the trilogy is in fact, and always has been, about diving into Black genres she had not previously fully explored, not that this is her true self. You should just accept that she is a songwriter even if from this day forward she never picks up a pen, even if she has never picked up a pen since 2003. She has enough songs (hits even) where the lyrics are completely her own for us to consider her a songwriter. Ironically though, saying "its okay to not be a songwriter" while you subtly deride her for not being a songwriter is proving the opposite of your point. If you simply lack the knowledge of her songwriting history, that's okay, but this reads as just poking at her, considering songwriting has nothing to do with this thread whatsoever.

What do the amount of songwriters have to do with whether or not Beyoncé has researched or studied a genre she's making? Do you really believe the COWBOY CARTER process entailed recording songs and hoping they work as a complete album with something to say beyond the tracks' individual meanings? You can dismiss people saying she researched things (and the many collaborators who have attested to this) but what evidence do you have to the contrary? What you are doing is projecting both onto her fans and the woman herself apparently due to either your dislike of the woman herself, the people that like her, or both. Your point here, if it can even be described as such, is incredibly illogical and fantastical.

But being in an open relationships is not the same thing as being promiscuous. Single people, who don't have anyone to answer to, don't necessarily get intimate with people all the time, and someone in an open relationship may not be, either. So if you as a single person wouldn't be ******* people every week, then being open would not change that. If open relationships aren't your thing that's fine, but they can still have intimacy.
