I have one more controversial thing to say. I requested My House at the club after the movie and the dance floor EMPTIED. Maybe it's too ahead of its time a la flop Xtuna Aguilera, but people did not respond well

The trouble with Thique and AUIYM in the film is not that they’re wearing out their welcome, but that they’re the least dynamically choreographed and filmed. She’s just…there kinda.

Some people say “My House” sounds like 2 different songs and I agree. The first part sounds like it was meant for Homecoming - either way, dope song.

Why do I get the feeling that Bey heard that AI version of RPM and decided to put that sort of aggression on My House. 
 

 

It is rare that I don't love a Bey song on first listen. TBF I listened on my phone first time. On my third listen with my good headphones it's definitely grown on me.

Also, I'm not one to get my hopes up to get mad later when it doesn't happen but hoping this is true. All I want, as I'm sure is a similar sentiment in here, is the Cozy tour version and the interludes.

as for my review, this is hands down her best... EVER. I watched all of the other concert films leading up to this, and my god, she tops it all. 

 

I'm surprised some didn't enjoy the BTS footage, to me they felt natural and needed to pace the show. I predicted interludes would get the chop for doc narration, and I didn't mind it at all. the interludes are incredible live but they are also FILLER by definition. she has too many interludes to leave them all in, for sure. from a filmmaking perspective, it really wouldn't make sense. 

 

MY HOUSE eats. Me and the random girl sitting to my left LIVED. My friend I went with was like "do you know this song" and I said girl, it's new new. We then blasted it on repeat all the way home. 

 

I will also say it was SO FUN being around Hive again! We can be nasty on here but IRL we're such a cute sexy funny and charming fan base.
