Tbf before I let go had a nice long run in the US. this song sits in a weird space. It's already been viral so people aren't rushing to stream it like a new release, from both a GP and fan base point of view. I also fear lots of people gave up on it being on streaming in 2023 so aren't bothering to check this time. It's still showing signs of stability. I think the playlist exposure will obviously help it just depends on how people interact with it on the new playlists as to how it will impact the algorithm. outside of Spotify though it's holding up really well.

Another example of Parkwood/her teams outdated approach was them copyrighting and removing all the viral sailor moon videos with Alien Superstar. It was everywhere, not even just fan twitter. Like your fans are literally likening the song to the feeling of levitating. You think that exposure is a bad thing?

I think there's actually common ground between the people who want more from her rollouts and the people who argue she's already accomplished everything she needs to and therefore doesn't need to aggressively promote anymore. She doesn't need to be everywehre like it's the early 2000s doing nonstop promo. She doesn't even necessarily need to do more. She just needs to make what she already does more effective. That's where the frustration comes from. For example, instead of another highly controlled vogue cover and story that adds little value, she could simply leverage her massive social media following or do a small candid interview where she actually speaks openly. That would create far more impact and enjoyment for the fans. The same applies to promotion overall. Rather than relying on outdated billboards and posters, she could work more directly with Spotify strategically and actually utilise her own social media. Even basic posts about the single, trailer, tracklist, preorder link and then again on release week would be the bare minimum and sustain momentum. The other frustration is how often songs with potential are left unsupported or even actively sabotaged. There have been so many tracks which have connected with the public since ST and were never pushed. Most artists would kill for those opportunities. Her performing now a days is a rarity, so to have whatever media we do get be completely withheld diminishes fan enjoyment. Simply release, or don't remove what you've already done. Lastly everything tends to be front loaded, this would be easy to fix by spreading out what she already does over a longer period and not simply relying on a huge event like the Super Bowl to drum up all the hype. At the end of the day, rant aside, I'm still here because the quality of her work continues to speak for itself. As much as the rollout choices can be frustrating, what ultimately matters to me most is that she keeps delivering at this level. Her musical output is unmatched, she pushes boundaries and evolves with every release and while that continues, I'll be seated and excited for what comes next.

Beys album vs Ariana's single is not really a concern. Singles have the ability to grow, albums usually lose momentum as time goes on. Getting the album release right is more important than a single which can peak at anytime with the right push.

I trust her ability to release quality no matter what but the album delay rework situation makes me a little nervous. Not because it means waiting longer but It opens the door for the entire rollout to get unnecessarily messy. CC last minute scramble was bad enough, I can only imagine how complicated this could get if true. On top of that, it has to be difficult creatively to have a nearly finished project that fully aligns with your vision, only to pull it apart and try to rebuild it into something else. If she's genuinely scrapped The Dream while still planning to reuse elements from that material, she's potentially one wrong move away from multiple lawsuits.

Well I am ready for the mess. My expectations are rock bottom so that I can hopefully be pleasantly surprised. I will say though, people swore up and down this base that she wouldn't make the Super Bowl about herself and we saw how that turned out. So the same logic applies to the Met. Either way her building of engagement has clearly worked, her fanbase on socials is active, posts about the new era are getting more likes than even I expected and her spotify numbers are growing. Seems silly to squander the goodwill but Bey will be Bey and so the most likely answer is something later this week/month. Either way I am going to allow myself to be delulu enough to take my headphones to work today. I did it for the SB leads and I ended up grateful for that decision around my lunch break.

Discarding "full albums" is completely different to her abandoning the visuals. As we know Beyoncé is sitting on hundreds of unreleased songs. She routinely repurposes old songs, demos etc for later work. She is constantly recording. She can literally make new music from her home recording studio for free if she wanted to. the visuals on the other hand can only really be repurposed for tour interludes and cover work.

The Stevie Nicks post is the most exciting thing so far. I do think the MET is a far weaker launchpad than Rens comeback hype and CCs Super Bowl so I'm left assuming she has to do something big to make a bang. The obvious here is teasing/dropping visuals.

Rock will likely be far more forgiving than the country community. Some people in the rock community will be vocal about their dislike for her, but that is really no different to the everyday hate she faces. The only difference being the tension that comes with her stepping into their territory, so to speak. Ultimately, they're all haters, often driven by racism or misogyny and an unfortunate reality that won't ever fully disappear. In a way though, the backlash can work in her favour, it sparks curiosity streams and reinforces the message that inspired her to create this trilogy in the first place. It certainly worked that way for CC, at least in the initial days and I think she knows that.

Everyone using Bey Bowl as an example but it is worth remembering that when she debunked our theories then, there technically was a delay to the announcement. So whilst it ended up being true, she did temper our expectations at the time. With rumours of the album being delayed it could just be a way of buying time so that she doesn't get lashed in the coming weeks. That aside, like my previous comment, i still believe Yvette commenting means little.
