Just got home from the showing and I know I’m gonna need a cough drop tomorrow morning 😂 Everything was pretty tame in the theater until Alien Superstar then everybody turned up. I giggled at the Sweet Dreams gag too. My row was so lit after that tho it was just like being at the concert!
 

But, yeah. Beyoncé is my all-time fave. Like no matter what foolishness she does, listening to her speak, you can tell she really is conscious of, and at peace with her decisions. I really respect the way she’s learned how to insulate her REAL life from the echo chambered noise that follows her career. 
 

Only critique I have is the cut from the start of Heated, my crowd was getting hyped then the momentum got lost and were kinda getting blue balled. I think Uncle Johnnys segment was very important and touching and would’ve been better at the end of the outro, I think.

 

Also the wigs were wigging! The hair-ography was on point. Theres a specific moment during Diva where she spins and the way her hair lays, it was just *chefs kiss* aesthetically 😩

 

Oh and My House was a bop but I felt offended as the theater was emptying and she started saying gtfo

We wont be playing with AUIYM. yeah Thique was a lil flat until the gays heard the Britney sample lol. AUIYM actually got a stronger reaction right at the end and before drunk in love.

Definitely experimental. Gives me 7/11 vibes with the randomness.  I don’t necessarily love or hate it on first listen. 

The first part of the song feels like a completely different song it’s so experimental

The house she is referring to is the one with visuals, right?

 

Ok the first half has fully grown on me. It literally just goes off and never lets go of you

I love a gospel choir addition 

Just got back from my showing. I originally thought people dancing and singing would be annoying but the few times someone shouted something gay out or when the theater sang/clapped it made the experience much more enjoyable. I wish they had done it more. The film itself was great, I watched it in Dolby vision and the color and sound was fantastic. There were times when I wished the BTS would keep going and others when I dreaded another one popping up ruining the flow. But overall I loved the glimpses we got to see. I’m glad I get to see it again on Saturday but that theater is going to be like 10% full so the experience will be a little lackluster, oh well. Side note, the live version of Alien Superstar and Move sounded different, I can’t wait to hear them on the album (Thique outro & AUIYM ate so bad I fear)

Echoes and My House kinda sound sonically similar. I wonder what else is in the renaissance vault 

the amount of experimental songs she has, she often goes viral for the wackiest production.

Act II revolution 

My House is very experimental and conceptual. It certainly sounds like being on a ride on the way to a new galaxy, so I suppose it serves its purpose to leave Renaissance and move to Revolution.

Its not something to play over and over again tho
