I can afford a $150 vinyl. But I'm not the target audience because I'm the same person who bought the act i and act ii vinyls and has no idea where they are

Dolly Parton has died, aged 80
She is one of the very, very few people who got her flowers while she lived. I'm certain she knew how much she meant to people.

Beyoncé
I think this is a reasonable time to criticize her. I still believe something went askew with Act III, and this is her way of making a quick cash grab off of the people who will click purchase on anything she does. But let's not pretend y'all don't go overboard sometimes

So people are supposed to spend roughly $250 to get the full collection of songs for a 20 year old album?

Beyoncé
If they were going to do this, I wish they'd started with DIL in 2023. This feels so... haphazard and random.

The idea of people crying listening to Dolly and then Tyrant coming on shuffle Am I your husband? Because I thought that until just now.

I do feel for the people in the videos who probably felt like their lives were about to change. We're resigned to it now so it doesn't seem that serious, but the fact Renaissance came out in 2022 and we don't have a video is insane

Breaking: Chloë Sevigny skulldrags Law Roach and Zendaya; Law Roach responds.
I don't think either one of them is wrong. Saying you find stunt dressing tacky isn't an attack on someone's character, and stunt dressing because you enjoy it isn't a bad thing either It's refreshing to see a celebrity have an actual opinion, tbh

The crazy thing is I really don't care anymore It can come in 2030. Congrats Beyonce you win

Okay, but it's actually hilarious that they're spending so much time digging through the archives, and so far they have: A young Beyonce sitting in a (possibly gay) man's lap and Beyonce in the early 00s saying she didn't listen to country growing up, as if that's a gotcha regarding her album released in 2024. It's one thing to be miserable, but to be miserable and a failure? Truly emulating Onika J. Trump

Beyoncé
That video isn't a gotcha. Her interest in the genre came from Daddy Lessons and being treated poorly at the CMAs. She pretty much said as much herself. The only people who would see that video and think she's a fraud are people who already hate her.

Michael Jackson speaks to young Beyoncé in unseen footage
That person is a Nicki Minaj stan. That should tell you everything you need to know.

Selena Gomez and her mother accused of defrauding investors with wellness startup
She's still responsible. She's a grown woman who put her name and face to it. It never would've gotten off the ground without that. It's like a normal person signing legal documents without reading them, then claiming ignorance as an excuse. Still going to prison.

Beyoncé
That's stupid. Not you -- but the idea if that's what they're doing. The general public isn't on pins and needles waiting for the next album from anyone these days. There's so much going on, and monoculture is dead. Not a single normal person (we're stans, we're insane) is thinking "Omg Beyonce is doing a B'Day reissue, what is she up to???" They heard Donk and put it on a playlist and kept it moving. They're not confused or intrigued

Beyoncé
Or act iii really is delayed and there's a mess behind the scenes, and this is their idea of a distraction

Y'all put way too much stock in what Neal posts. That is a 50-year-old man. He probably reposts "FACEBOOK DOES NOT HAVE MY PERMISSION TO STEAL MY DATA. REPOST THIS IF YOU DONT WANT FACEBOOK TO STEAL YOUR DATA"

Beyoncé
Too on the nose for the women who deployed the "ii" motif on a tracklist to remind it was act ii?
-
Beyoncé
Isn't it simply because her birthday is September 4 and B'Day came out on that day?

I'd kill for Woman Like Me on streaming. I still listen to it on YouTube occasionally.- Beyoncé
I'm so confused by this entire reissue and why it exists- Beyoncé
I'm not excited about the B'Day re-release. Not in a negative way -- I truly feel nothing. It's so random. If it's remastered or re-recorded, that'll definitely intrigue me. It's a great album and the rough-around-the-edges feel to it makes sense, but I wouldn't mind an updated version.- Beyoncé
Is LMVH divesting from SirDavis a sign it's not doing well, and Parkwood is just spinning it as a reclamation of the brand? This isn't me being shady, as I'm genuinely curious. You could read it as they helped launch it and then received their investment back, or that they don't see a future for it, so they're taking the buyout now rather than lose more money. They didn't release a statement alongside hers, and that seems odd to me. Not even the "We're grateful to have launched this alongside Beyonce" usual nonsense- Beyoncé
No one will be tuning into the reissue after listening to THAT. That song gives "Have you heard of this hot new thing called the internet?" except it was 2006 - Beyoncé
