As for your spoilered portion, the Hive that goes all out and buys things would buy B'Day merch in September and then every morsel of Act III material in November. I don't see the GP rushing to buy B'Day merch, anyway. They'll eat up whatever music she ties to it, especially if it's nostalgic, but it's not going to be a huge distraction. For them, they consume the music, and then they move on.

For this to be intentional, you'd have to believe she waited for the camera to catch her talking about her knees at the World Cup. Just paused, waiting for it to pan over to her. She's not Taylor Swift.

I'm still a little nervous that the visuals were conceptualized around being trapped at home. People do not want to revisit that time now -- most shows, movies, and music generally ignore that it ever happened for a reason.

I think they quietly parted ways, but he has an NDA, and any of the material they worked on together belongs to her, not him. She wouldn't need to reshoot anything he did for her. Someone else and I already said it, but she really upset Khalil Joseph by taking his Lemonade work and intercutting it with new visuals from other directors when she realized it was too avant-garde for a major pop star release. It seems like maybe she encountered the same issue again, but it's all speculation.

Renaissance is almost four years old. For context, when Lemonade turned four, we were in the thick of the pandemic - imagine if that's when we'd gotten the visual for it. That's a long time, and I don't know how you make visuals for a project that old interesting to the average consumer. II I'm at peace with whatever happens... I'd say I want her to release MVs for act iii in a timely manner, but that would contradict her earlier statement about letting the music speak for itself and look wishy-washy. I wish someone else would leak something about the behind the scenes discussions and what's up. Clearly, something has gone awry, but we don't know the extent of it. They may've already figured it out and have a plan, or that could be part of the hold-up with act iii if they don't know what to do.

I bet Bey wasn't happy with the final results, and they let Nadia know she brought in new directors to pad the visuals the same way she did to Khalil Joseph before Lemonade. Or she scrapped them altogether

It's likely an album and some sort of tour are coming from Jay. I understand this is his 30th anniversary, but this is a lot for only that.
