FOUR YEARS In four years my life changed in ways I never would have imagined. My sister had a baby boy in November 2022 and now the boy can carry conversations. In summer 2023 I saw the Renaissance Tour in three different countries and the film of it three times including once with my mother who got her absolute life. In January 2024 I met the man I love, beginning the relationship I truly believe I'll be in forever. In January 2025 I quit a job I'd been at for seven years in order to spend more time with my mother who was ill. In December I lost her. The music that soundtracked all these times was Renaissance, the music that inspired it, and the music that it in turn inspired. It will always be one of the major musical works of my lifetime.
