I saw it in Dolby last night and it was phenomenal. I remember thinking that even if she does release a live album, my methods of listening will pale in comparison to the sound last night.

 

 

I know I've seen comments here and there throughout the tour about her absence, but anyone else think it was odd that Solange had 0 presence in the movie, when so much of it focused on her family?

i didnt pre-order & all of the nearby AMC are almost sold out for the showtimes i want. the Cinemark theaters have more availability but idk if their XD is known for great sound or what those features are. then idk if i want to go to the hood theater where it will be more fun & dancing or do I want to go to another neighborhood where i'll probably be able to concentrate more since it will be my first time watching.

Me personally, cinemark XD is nowhere near AMC's Dolby. The sound was loud but gets distorted, AMC's is crisp. Also the screen quality is better in dolby

Going to see the movie now. Excited to relive one of the best concerts ive ever attended.

I like My House a little more when I think about in terms of a tour interlude.

 

It’s actually quite enjoyable then and quite cinematic.
 

Totally makes sense why it didn’t make the album tho.

I definitely don't think she'll be a Madonna and consistently put out albums and tours well into her 60s. I honestly think we'll get 3 or 4 more albums out of her (very spaced out like an album every 4/5 years) and then she'll retire.

Thats exactly what I took from that. I don’t think another album and tour is coming for another few years.

It’s a handful of them. Houston night 1 for sure, I remember the cowboy hat with the red flame outfit I don’t know where she wore the Blue flame fit but it got significant screen time too.

Girl go to the hood, bullets aside, you won’t regret the fun experience. 

lol the first half of my house goes crazy. then her overdramatic speech about love at the end is the perfect way to end it. kooky ass woman. luv her!

Great numbers 

Renaissance is FINALLY clicking with me...well, the first half. Up until Church Girl it's just whew  Still struggling with the second half. 

A really important part of the movie no one is talking about is when she said she had damaged her vocal chords at 12 years old and I think she said had to get surgery and vocal rest for 3 months. Because of this injury she is able to have access to that powerful effortless growl she has. No wonder why it doesn’t pain her and it still sounds flawless. When I imitate her my throat hurts
