it's such a peculiar record, kinda makes me think of like a gayer Alex G for some reason. really vibing with it though; feel like i would be more obsessed with it if it had come out like a month earlier as a complement to Kelsey Lu's So Help Me God vs fighting with Madonna and Kelela for my attention. still going back to it quite regularly between those two albums though, so the timing was clearly not a huge detriment.

Cuff It succeeded in spite of her team, and Texas couldn't even survive the basic 20-week recurrent rule even WITH the big initial push it had. They really don't deserve credit for either one imo, but i'll give them an ounce of it for at least doing Cuff It's remix smartly instead of almost immediately blowing their wad like they did with Texas and she could outperform her recent number ones by getting some with real longevity which requires either going genuinely viral with different parts of the GP like Cuff It or actually supporting a song to maximize its streaming and radio which.... LMAO. We've seen time and time again even just with Bey that peaks aren't everything. I get that she doesn't want to play the game anymore which she's earned the right to do, but I refuse to do free promo for her team when they've dropped the ball. Feels unfair to the hard work she puts in creatively.
