THREAD CREATION GUIDELINES

The volume of low-effort discussion threads has reached an unsustainable level. These are threads that do not encourage meaningful discussion or cannot reasonably support one. To reduce repetitive, reductive, and unimaginative posting, the following guidelines are now in effect.

Any thread that falls under the categories listed below, or otherwise violates site rules, will be considered a Banned Thread Topic and may be locked or hidden without further explanation.

The following topics are prohibited in all sections:

1. Low-effort discussion threads

2. Baseless or unsupported comparisons

3. Reaction videos or reviews

(These belong in the relevant single or album thread, or the aggregate review thread.)

4. Multiple prediction threads

(All chart and sales predictions must be contained within a single designated thread.)

5. Threads created to bash an artist, celebrity, or fan base

(See Trolling Content rules.)

6. Threads about viral content from other platforms that are not newsworthy

7. Personal opinion threads about an artist or release

(Post these in the appropriate single, album, or fan base thread.)

8. Milestone achievement threads related to sales, streams, or followers, except in the following limited cases:

• Clearly notable or record-breaking milestones

• First-day, first-week, or first-month performance

• A song reaching 100M, 500M, or 1B streams

Consistent posting of Banned Thread Topics may result in the removal of thread-creation privileges.

This list is not exhaustive. Moderators retain full discretion to close or hide any thread that does not meet discussion standards.

@Rian can we also ban "eligible certification" threads in the charts forums seeing that these are mostly made up numbers?

Why does going back to my previously browsed page sometimes refresh the current page instead? psyduck

(sorry for making the first complaint of ATRL 2026 edition)

Because current version of Invision uses AJAX requests to pull the database tables while respecting cache. That means new content is post request hits the server for all instances of getting information.

Can we keep this legend all year round but in different forms? santa

I was thinking for non-holiday times he could just be a normal man in a suit carrying a briefcase or tote (maybe even a robber), for Easter he can be dressed up as an Easter bunny with a bag full of eggs, for summer he can be in a wetsuit carrying a surfboard, for October he could be a fat Jack Skellington carrying bones, and then for November he could be a chef carrying a big turkey.

I urge the team to think about this, thank you.

Who's the person in the logo

His name is Fady Elsayed, he's a hunky British-Egyptian actor who was in Class (2016), Gangs of London, Industry and Kaos. He's kind of a flop but I want him to **** in my **** so it cancels out.

Newer forum systems are built like apps. Instead of loading once, they constantly update parts of the page with JavaScript (through AJAX requests). That's why you can see since the upgrade if someone is typing when you also are, when someone likes a post while you are still viewing the thread without needing to refresh, etc. When you hit back, your browser tries to show you what it cached locally, but if its a page that is as dynamic as a forum, which is constantly loading new posts, etc. the browser can't return you to the state. They won't be able to change that.
