Beyonce has done an excellent job of not being overexposed. No one has seen her, she is not active and is not active on social media.

Yeah she can perform and i hope she does in from of 100 million people. Cause what will not be denied even by haters is the excellence she will bring.

Idk about the Super Bowl, it may be a double-edged sword. While it could give her/them immense spotlight (also thanks to the "controversy" that it would ensue), on the other I don't they would get the same counter-narrative as Bunny got last year. Plus, while it was just a commercial+surprise drop, people still remember her spearheading the CC era after Super Bowl just 2 years ago. I know it's not the same thing, but people attention span is at an all time low and dedication towards bashing them is at all time high.

What I REALLY would love for her to do is Copacabana, or even as somebody else suggested, plan her own music festival, live-streamed worlwide and treated as a huge event jonny

Its just uncreative and whack. Shes a legend, she should act like it and find something new. She has literally all the means, theres no need whatsoever to do the same gig for a third time, ESPECIALLY not with grandpa Jay next to her.

You are somebody who never ever criticizes anything she does, so it's basically impossible to consider your opinion as valid. You are the definition of a stan who loves anything she does. It's ur right, and its great Bey has these 100% stans who eat everything up. Im not one of them and can guarantee you that her appearing again on that stage would be met with boredom at best and annoyance/dislike at worst. No matter how good the performanxe would be, people would trash it. It would be a very similar scenario to TheGift - a great album that fell victim to bad publicity.

See i could say the same with you. You literally ALWAYS critique her....down to misogynistic and disturbing comment about her BODY.

Just because i do not overanalyze her and impose my own insecurities on her (Like a lot of hive do) does not make me a kiss ass

I agree with you for new stages..that is why i an hoping she does the show in Brazil next year, cause that will be great.

But if she wants to do the halftime show to push off the start of ACT 3....That will never be a bad thing. Calling Jay Grandpa is old and tired as hell and a lot of hive tend to veer into anti-black comments when speaking about Jay..(Let's not wake that tea up).

If beyonce is doing the halftiem show, you will be back here gagging and stanning along with the "kiss ass hive" cause you why......IT WILL BE INCREDIBLE

Considering Jay Z is producing the half time, giving it to himself and/or Bey would be terrible optics and reek of nepotism. I would hope Bey knows better than to do that but I sadly don't trust her judgment when it comes to that man.

this why im sorta against it.

2004, 2013, 2016, 2024 is enough.

Even if people ***** and moan about her doing the Super Bowl again, they'll all be transfixed on the TV while she's on stage. It's all fake controversy that will be forgotten in a week

The thing is. Everyone is right. This is literally one of those "several things can be true at the same time" scenarios.

For the cautious critics: yes, there is an issue with the optics. Jay-Z being in charge and giving the slot to himself + his wife does not look good on the surface and factually will invite critique. The scale of which we won't know until the time. The actual show would be excellent, but the risk is that the chatter/social discourse could ruin the vibe around it before it even happens. Something that was never the case for her previous Halftimes.

For those in favor of it: I agree: there is no bigger platform than Halftime. It's huge. She'd slay it. And the benefit to her Act III era would be both immediate and epic. I'm very much of the mindset of: if you think something is such a bad idea, then can you provide 3-5 comparable alternatives with the same scale and reach? When it comes to the enormity of the platform and the resulting benefits (touring, selling the album, etc.), it's hard to argue against it - even in the face of a potential optics issue.

The Middle Ground: this is kind of where I sit. I'm not really fussed one way or the other. If it happens, great. I'm on board and will brace to see how they navigate the difficult aspects. If it doesn't, then back to the trenches we go until we see how she kicks off Act III.

The more I think of it, though, the least issue-laden route and easiest way forward is just having a Rock act who she has a collab with headline (which will will tick box the growing, arguable need for an act that appeals to a "certain" demographic after years of "Urban" artists).

I'd then have Bey added as a co-bill later ala the Coldplay/Bruno show. Or have her pop out as a surprise to circumvent the noise. Though, I'm sure for ratings, they will want the "Beyonce returns to Halftime" news beforehand. Either way, pair that with an album and/or tour commercial after, and boom, we're so back!

This argument would hold more water, if jay has chosen her several times before or at least one other time. He has been running it for a decade and has never chosen her/she has never been involved.

in b4 Blue is headlining the super bowl before embarking on a solo tour next year and act iii is scrapped

There is a reason Beyoncé has lasted this long, had it been she allowed what the haters and some of her fans have said about her and her career to get to her, she would have flopped into oblivion, but Thank God. Same way they said she shouldn't go on tour for CC.

Very unserious folks

They love it when they drag her and others join on the bandwagon

If Bey does the super bowl, I will be watching, and it will be amazing. At best, the majority of people in the US might have some recollection that she has previously performed there. But I doubt the first reaction, beyond the cesspit of the internet, will be 'Beyonce - AGAIN?'.

That said, I think Jay giving the half time show to himself, and to his wife, looks a bit weird. And I'm against pretty much them do anything together. If Beyonce is going to close out the trilogy - it needs to be about that.

Hmmm...

We have to accept that different people will have different takes on this.

To me, it looks weird, selfish, tacky, and incredibly unnecessary. Not to mention, it's repetitive and unoriginal, and I don't think it will have the impact people think it will (agree to disagree). Will it be epic? Sure. But there are many stages she can use to show off her epic-ness. I do not like it... it reeks

Again, my own opinion, but the one way I can see it work or have big impact is if the controversy of it is flipped into another - like if its the Carters, and B debuts a new Rock song that is political AF (like **** Satanyahu level middle finger on the biggest stage). Lmao, I know this is me going crazy into fantasy land, but that's the thought that came to me.

Eh... so unnecessary tho. I personally believe she is sensible enough to not do it again. Amen.

ladies and gworls... are you ready... to be ENTERTAINEEEEEEEEEED????

IF they announce The Carters x Super Bowl, then I would feel confident betting they'll simultaneously drop a The Carters album alongside the performance announcement.

no other major stars are releasing anytime soon, Taylor's come and gone, and dropping now clears the way for Act III after the Super Bowl.

if they drop another joint album in february, act iii is certainly not following shortly after. a limited summer tour/NYC residency for the album with a light rehash of their halftime show is more realistic. rip and would leave everyone begging for act iii by the time she would be ready to drop it, as well as draw out more hype for her solo tour return like in 2019 so she can launch the visuals as well.

I can't see another joint album happening soon. If they do the halftime show together the act iii lead single might feature Jay Z.

We already get so little Beyoncé content as is, idgaf about a possible social media backlash if she and Jay do the Super Bowl. Not when it could mean another iconic, legendary performance like her 2013 and 2016 moments. Especially when past backlash has had zero effect on her career.

She knows the value of that stage and always gives her all to make it memorable. That alone is worth more than any viral hate TikTok. cm

I'd 100% be here for a The Carters Halftime Show, but unfortunately I think a Jay-Z feat. Friends show is a more likely outcome, so we'd probably just get CIL/Deja Vu mashup performance (to which I also wouldn't say no tho). gaycat6

Joint album while she has a pending third act makes no sense.

Unless that act is the joint album, which would be tragic.

Absolutely tragic.

where did you guys even get the idea that she might be co-headlining SB and releasing the album with her husband? rip

I'm gonna be on some @Cbreezy **** with this one, so bear with me. I think, if I can distil this, the Hive's frustration is that they've signed up to stan an artist named Beyoncé and only her, but somehow in the process Beyoncé and Jay Z have become a package deal and now they are attached at the hip. And yes, we can argue that they've always been a package deal since her solo career started, but it didn't bother us as much in the beginning since they've had some good songs together that were some of her biggest hits. But ever since Lemonade the Hive has soured on Jay Z for obvious reasons and even though Bey's forgiven him herself, most of the Hive has not, and he's kinda been increasingly annoying to us ever since. That's why since EIL/OTR II it feels like she is shoving him down our throats and we do not want him.

In the 2020s he's been getting more irrelevant (while Bey has been getting even bigger despite her best efforts not to be) and had multiple different controversies (manufactured or otherwise) for which SOMEHOW she is ALWAYS getting blamed for. These days, Jay is only weighing her down and souring her brand, while Bey is the only one keeping him still relevant, which was not the case at the beginning of her career. Why do y'all think she has stopped posting on Instagram? Each time she's posted recently the comments have been absolutely VILE. It's honestly hard to read and I don't blame her for not posting anymore and just updating her website.

This is why we are not cheering on the idea of her possibly doing the Super Bowl HT with him. In addition to being redundant at this point since she's done it so many times already, the controversy and the think pieces that would come out of as the result of that (Jay being on the committee and giving such a huge spot to himself and his wife) would only hurt her brand. And if they announced some EIL2/OTR III type of **** right after it would be even worse since most people are not clamoring for that at all.

If they do end up doing it the only way I'd be fine and will enjoy it if she announced/released Act III after it. As for Jay, I am fine with him being behind the scenes and helping her in the studio like he's been doing, but nothing much else.

Bored + SB performer has not been announced yet = Hive spiraling about OTR III again
