    This is actually hilariously messy

I really have no clue what B has in store for Act III at this point but I genuinely wish it is a rock centric project. Rock n Roll has always been in her DNA, and the truth is that most of her best performances (to me, from Glastonbury mashups and covers to IIWAB at Shammys to every moment she spazzes out with her live band) have had rock elements to them. She's a natural-born performer, and when she's going all out with her voice and a band, that's when she shines like no other! Thematically, what the album will be about feels like a major question to me because if it isn't authentic in its story and themes, Rock will feel very... put on. But that's my wish. Even my most favorite moments on all of CC are mostly where she is dipping into the Rock bag. Genre-bending queen

Finally listened to the Remixes (damn there are 4) *update note: lol there are 3, one is just Explicit vs Clean version of Jay remix. 1. ft. JAY-Z: something about it is rough and a bit off, and Jay's rap isn't hitting too hard. This is almost a bit... experimental? By the end its cute but only cuz of B. Lol. What is the point of these remixes? Some parts made me wish to hear B on some groovy jazz, almost. This can be a background mood. 2. Donk MIX: Wait... what's the difference between Donk and Donk mix? I'm grooving to this. Maybe the trick is that if you are forced to hear 4 versions of this song, you might finally catch the vibe. lol. 3. Acoustic: is so good. Just B and a guitar, some snaps, and her voice and harmonies. Whew. So... has she said anything what this whole Donk situation is... just for B'day anniversary? (confusion)

Ya'll remember us and our theories during the lead-up to the MET Gala?

    Shes so confusing
  7. Massie just highlighted it on Twitter because he has a crusade against foreign funding for nonsensical things. The original link in the post is from Breaking Points and they are credible and have incredible people like Ryan Grim on their roster. This isn't a 'conspiracy' based on a tweet by MTG. It seems to be based on credible reporting. Damn... just ranting away.

  9. Simplified summary: 1. US passed a house report - drafted by Rubio ally - that declares Spain's Ceuta and Melilla as rightfully Moroccan territory (historically contested land that is in Africa but controlled by Spain). 2. Was unprecedented for US to take this stance officially. This report was part of a bill authorising funding for, you guessed it, Israel. 3. Money was given to Morocco (40 million dollars) as part of increasing cooperation between the US and Morocco - 2 weeks before the 'crisis', alongside the above-mentioned report. 4. Ground reports and news of the 'migrants' being brought in in buses and in an organised way, including reports of a social media campaign leading up to the 'invasion'. 5. Background is that Spain and its leaders took a bold stance against the Israeli genocide and condemned it on the world stage, which prompted threats and backlash from the Israeli state and politicians.

  11. We are in for a crazy next few months.
  12. This is how I feel. She has SO many songs that deserve the attention (and that would actually do well too) but...

She looked and sounded amazing!! And great song choice too
  14. Calypso replied to DivaCup's topic in Base
What a random song to get such attention. The ones that should, never really end up getting them. Such is life

I know it most likely isn't going to happen, and even all this chatter about it is silly and nonsensical... but just the thought of it, the faintest possibility, is almost soul-crushing. Nope nope. Let's focus on the positive! I know we haven't gotten any real leads on act-iii yet, but B has been in her creative, vocal and production BAG with act-i and act-ii and its so exciting to imagine what else this evolved B is cooking up

I agree that a well planned, polished and crafted Jayoncé album would be great. BUT, that can and should be its own thing. The trilogy is to HER name, we don't need The Carters added on to it at the end. I personally feel that even if it is an epic and amazing album, if it is "act-iii" it is going to be a disaster in many ways for the legacy of this trilogy (that wont be saved by the project excellence or even good commercial performance). Whats even the point of making this trilogy then? Like ugh

Personally, I don't think 29th is a real pattern, like you only said, two is not a pattern necessarily (tho for a trilogy it can be read as one). While I agree the anticipation, frustration and confusion was a big part of the hype of the ST drop, I don't think it was planned in a way that they calculated it all - for the most part it was B figuring out what sound she wanted, what spoke to her and when she actually managed to finish the project. Since then, B has said that she cares about what her projects speak to culturally, artistically and about her as a person who is always growing an evolving. I really think she is still unsure about the 'cultural' moment in which act-iii will drop and what she really wants to land in terms of the 'conversation'. I think times are a bit too chaotic and she is figuring it out and still tweaking to see what will feel right (including the 'when'). We have to be honest that we don't any longer just get albums from B which are just 'a collection of songs' or 'just good music' - her projects are always conceptual and have a lot to say.

Because I'm personally not too satiated or excited over this release, my mind is more thinking about these types of 'strategic' theories. - I fear it is mainly suggesting that we aren't getting anything for a while, maybe December the earliest. And so they have decided to fill the void for fans with this re-release. This suggests that there are really unexpected delays in terms of the project reaching a point where B is happy. - This could be misdirection as well, showing us something else that is coming (a countdown? really? When is the last time we had it?) would make everyone put their guards down. It is closer to what you said in terms of making things unexpected. But I fear this is the Delulu in me
