Well, Hurt is Christina's best ballad and her vocal performance on it is DIVINE. I never really thought all that much of WBT, as Mariah has infinitely better material in her discography. 

Hurt for both. 

After giving this some thought, this is actually harder than I thought.

Hurt for both. One of Christina's best singles whilst I always found WBT to be bland. 

I love Mimi but Hurt got it! in both categories. I consider Hurt to be among Christina's finest ballads of her career whereas WBT, while good, is not even in my top 10 MC ballads.

I think I bump WBT more as an adult but as a kid it would've been Hurt for both

 

Hurt has the better video tho

We Belong Together is an immaculate song, it will always sound fresh. Hurt is great as well, but not in the same league.

How.  Hurt has great production design, hair, makeup, costumes, cinematography and storytelling.

 

WBT is just another pretty Mariah MV and a lot of dramatic gesticulating in lingerie. 

Love the message behind Hurt and how raw it is. But I find it a fairly difficult song to sit through because of the way she opted to sing it (often my personal issue with Christina's music).

 

We Belong Together wins for me, though Hurt has the superior video.
