Maybe not in the long term or in the way that's going to affect her, but I think it's always going to be a natural human reaction to care. I mean she held the record for a decade...That's huge. Adele is a legend and she will ALWAYS be a legend. 

Of course not. She's not driving by numbers. I don't think Taylor is wrong for being a number chaser, but some artists aren't like that.

I doubt she gives a ****. Many of you could take some notes!

Taylor IS chart obsessed but this isn't a good example of why  Even I know what was #1 on the Hot 100 and BB200 when I was born cause I like following the charts! And I'm sure someone like her who had a big breakthrough at such a young age would also learn what was #1 when they were born as a fun fact.  

Well no, she doesn't care. Only a fool would not realize that. 
 

Even when she sold that insane amount of albums for 25, she never meant to or was even expecting to break any records. It was pure GP love for her music and the goodwill that she got from 21. She didn't try to maximize it with gimmicks or extra deals or deluxe versions. So if she didn't care then, why would she now, a decade later? 
 

Plus let's stop acting dense please y'all. If Adele really cared about sales or breaking records or just being on top in general, she would have released more music, have had much more single releases, do much more live shows, would have countless deluxe versions, would never waste her HUGE momentum from 21 and 25…and would easily be probably the best selling artist of the last two decades. But she doesn't, that's why she's content with releasing an album every 6 years with nothing in between. 

Considering she took 6 ******* years to release an album after the one with the record and we are about to spend at least another 6 ones without a new album, no, she probably doesn't.

Nah, but some people in here, who are not even Adele stans or have never listened to a full album of hers, seem to care way more about her losing that record than Adele probably does. 

Nah there comes an age where people stop caring, Madonna said it best, everyone has highs and lows and know how all of it is meaningless in the end.

if she cared about any of that, she would've released 27 in 2018 and 33 like last year

Out of every pop girl out there, I think Adele cares about these type of records the least. She made her money and having the best time of her life as she should.

 

Besides, records are meant to be broken. The only living artist that could have possibly broken Adele's record is Taylor, and she did.

Aren't they friendly with each other. She probably congratulated taylor on this. She doesn't strike me as a jealous or resentful type. So yes probably in a positive way but doesn't care that much
