no she doesn't. she's not chart obsessed like some other label products out there. she had actual gp love, that's all that matters anyway!

She never cared in the first place or she wouldn't have taken the long breaks and publicly stated she never wants another 21-like hit era again. Taylor on the other hand is chart-obsessed and in an old interview where she was quizzed even knew what album was #1 on the Billboard 200 the week she was born. I mean that should tell you enough.

she isn't a chart nor sales obsessed. she's an artiste with god given talent 

She probably cares at least a little bit. I mean, she held an "all time" record which is obviously really amazing to have for yourself. She isn't chart or numbers obsessed though so I doubt she's losing even a single second of sleep over it. I think she's always just wanted to have a successful career doing what she loves to do on her own terms, and she's done that and much more and will continue to do that. You can care a bit without being bitter or obsessed.

People will say Adele doesn't care but let's not forget how many vinyl copies she had ready for her last album on the first week only for her to tank HARD. She's ambitious, they all are, and of course having this record broken won't change her life but it will probably sting a little. She's only human, after all.

If Adele gave one single **** about this rat race at any point she could have been at or above the level of Michael Jackson, and I'm not a huge fan of her OR Taylor.

 

It's an undeniable fact that she's the only one from the digital era or later with hits AND album sales.
