  1. Inb4 the Selenators start blaming Charlie Puth, Demi Lovato etc
  2. thoughts @Yes, AND ?
  3. where was @SmittenCake to break this news? They're always up to date on 'news' (ie: three tweets) regarding Jay-Z and Cardi B yet nowhere here... I'm confused!
  4. youjustmadethatup.gif Bandaids: 29m Spotify + 11m Youtube WIB: 11m Spotify + 4.5m Youtube Deezer and Apple Music don't report streams, but both songs combined is only 55.5 million. No shot is she getting at least another 45 million from Deezer and AM
  5. that's great. let's hope this commercial boost will last until her next few eras!
  6. well as I said, Brat is huge for Charli and she should be proud of it. My point is more about what good is "cultural impact" if people aren't going to actually stream the music as much as one would expect for such a big moment? How then do you measure success/impact? Tiktoks are not enough
  7. inb4 OP has a meltdown calling you "sick" and "perverted" for pointing this out.... or is that only for me?
  8. imagine thinking that someone responding to your posts on a public forum are "perverted" or "sick" touch grass, babe!
  9. the only pervert behavior that's related to either of us comes from the perverts your fave surrounds herself with! Sorry you can't handle disagreements on a public forum
  10. Thanks, @Jay-Zupdates or @CardiBupdates!
  11. not the Barb playing the victim
  12. Brat was a massive artistic achievement for Charli and she should be very proud of it (as Taylor herself has mused!). And yes, I tend to agree that Brat (at least with the green/black aesthetic and some of the phrases) had cultural impact which is challenging to do since the monoculture doesn't exist anymore... but what good is that if people aren't streaming? Brat's Spotify numbers aren't BAD, but they aren't indicative of a huge cultural moment in the way the girls are arguing on here Songs above 300 million streams (a reasonable threshold for a minor hit) from some 2023/4 albums (standard editions): Brat -- 3 (soon to be 4) Chappel's Midwest Princess (a debut) -- 6 Sabrina's Short n Sweet -- 6 (soon to be 7) Taylor's TTPD -- 12 (soon to be 13) Billie's HMHAS -- 10 (whole album) Olivia's Guts -- 9 Benson's Fireworks and Rollerblades -- 4 I mean when Benson Boone has more tracks doing well... And if you look at Kworb, the highest daily streamed song from Brat is doing 300k. Not bad, but not amazing... for the album that was allegedly a HUGE cultural moment...
  13. but wait! according to @SmittenCake people are talking about this everywhere! I wonder how that could be!
  14. The way that user just speaks out of their arse
  15. people = the people on your algorithm, which has learned that you like to see everywhere = your twitter and tiktok homepage
  16. Why didn't the female rap reporter break this story? @Yes, AND do you want to call up your bestie?
  17. Can you point me to where I infantilized her? All of what you pointed out is true, I don't think I've disputed that? She does care a lot about her PR, when she feels strongly about something (and the fact that she hasn't spoken up in Trump 2.0 and this invite is not a good look). I'm merely responding to the point that we don't know what happened with Blake beyond the lawsuit — Cancelled was written in 2024 and seems to be a pro-Blake song and when Showgirl came out (after the lawsuit drama), Taylor said she still stands by what she wrote on Showgirl. Sooo perhaps it was something additionally that caused this friendship to crumble? We really don't know. And I was also responding to the point of "why are they inviting his best friend's dad?" MAYBE Taylor thought it was a bad look but Travis felt very strongly about having him there. We don't know anything! Maybe Karlie and her reconnected after the Eras tour, or maybe she reconnected with her when her and Blake were falling out because she missed her old friend?? I'm not defending her decision to invite him and yes she's a capitalistic billionaire but she also is human and we know very litte about her. She's done a great job at cultivating a parasocial relationship with her fans, but also with people that don't like her because both groups act like they know so much about her
  18. 1) we don't know what actually went on behind the scenes between them, maybe some really intense other things went down? 2) but we don't know how close Travis is to this guy. I will likely be inviting the parents of some of my childhood best friends (because our familes are friends) to my wedding... but I couldn't describe in detail what they do for work (of course, none of them are CEOs of companies but) A lot of the discussion in the thread is based on assumptions and hypotheticals, and fuming at the made up scenarios. Is it a bad look that this guy is there? Yes, and that's the newlyweds cross to bear. But how many of you could actually describe the jobs of the parents of your good friends from childhood?
  19. Yeah this isn't it. I agree that he doesn't run the camp and I don't subscribe to a lot of the hyperbolic language used on here today, but he absolutely knows what projects his company is working on. It's a bad look for Taylor, but again, it raises the question of where we draw the line in terms of what companies/people/organizations we think is acceptable for our faves to associate with.
  20. Relying on the cupcake user to point out hypocrisy... I have to laugh
