I really dislike when someone can't have a logical counterpoint before using the ageism or misogynistic term. While those issues are real, just because you don't support a particular artist doesn't automatically make you an ageist or misogynistic. My point still stands. Dai Dai should have won best collaboration, how does that make me an ageist ? Demi Moore literally won best actress for the substance in critic choice and golden globe. So because she didn't win it at the Oscars literally mean they are ageist? You can make a case for Demi but Mikey Madison also gave a phenomenal performance and was a worthy winner. Attributing any criticism of them to ageism is actually a disservice of their artistry really..

Awards show are in the decline but MTV could still have done better. Making it fan-voted makes the award winners super predictable and most people will not tune in. I'm happy that Madonna got her deserved flowers but let's be frank she didn't deserve to win some of the categories she won like best collaboration for example. Let's take the Oscars for example, Demi Moore wasn't awarded best actress for the substance despite being over due because someone else was more deserving. It's stuff like this that maintains the prestige. They could have created a lifetime achievement awards or something to honour Madonna rather than awarding her categories that they were more worthy contenders for this year.

The untouchable Goddess backlash has always been rooted in misogyny where women are expected to be humble. Michael Jackson, Prince, Messi, Ronaldo, Pre-cancelled Kanye, were all placed on God level pedestal and I don't see the public complain. Even the so-called relatability and fan interactions, it's usually expected from MPGs while the men get a pass at living a private life if they want.. The likes of Bruno Mars and Eminem were very successful at their peak with little to no fan acknowledgement. They just drop their music and move on.

Gaga is definitely more iconic than Ariana and I don't see that changing anytime soon if at all. Gaga is an incredible performer and just because Ariana isn't doesn't mean it is not part of Gaga's legacy /artistry. Gaga has so many iconic moments in pop culture while Ariana career actually feels non eventful outside of the charts and sales .

The song will likely be successful given the controversy it will generate but it will be the beginning of the end of her career because she will alienate most of her core audience.

Bad romance and single ladies for me. Formation was the better video but Single ladies is just more iconic. I wish Beyonce could just go back to releasing music videos on YouTube instead of Prioritising profit by selling it to streaming platform. Black is king was so good but the limited access to it reduce its iconic-ness.

I think she has complimented Beyonce before and used to like her. The fall out was because Beyonce was chosen to cover her song during Obama inauguration. So it's not from artistry perspective.
