If any other pop star had the same affiliations (more than once I should add), would they get dragged? Are we allowed to talk about her maga affiliations?

It will be the same lol have you seen how hateful stans are towards ALL the pop girls? Just pick a Beyoncé or Gaga-related threads and you'll see unhinged posts first page. And I'm not just talking about maga-related things, I'm talking about EVERYTHING they do.

 

Swifties will mass reply and shut down any valid criticisms with essay justifications.

 

That said, I'm not sure this one should be held against her. America is half MAGA right now and it's a bit impossible to avoid. I also don't think it's unrealistic for someone to be friends with a person on the other side of the aisle

There's also a word called: decency 

 

She's civil in public. She votes and donates to causes that are liberal.

Idk, I feel like Taylor's public longstanding beef with Trump is more important than her having mutuals who are dumb white people. That whole thing just feels like people looking for something to drag her for, meanwhile they stan pedo affiliates.

She does get dragged tho, her stans mass defend but it'd just be a lie to act like she doesn't get dragged. You might have a point if those threads didn't exist in the first place 

Travis is not maga and her brother in law was literally just wearing a pride eagles cap the other day. I am the complete opposite of MAGA and I have maga family and friends that I still speak to. 
 

Doesn't mean I condone or accept bigotry, but it's not 2015 anymore and I know dividing and isolating us from each other is exactly what people that are trying to destroy this country want.

It’s unfair to hold women accountable for decisions they didn’t make. Taylor Swift is not affiliated with MAGA—you may not like that, but it’s a fact. She does associate with people who are, and that wouldn’t be a choice I’d personally make if I could help it. But it is what it is.
 

It's sad because she really is in the position to be a powerful voice for progress.  And I don't mean gently dipping her toe into the political pool like she does.  I mean diving right in and really sticking her neck out.  Especially when she herself really has nothing to lose at this point since she has more money than God.  So she might really piss off lots of fans including casual fans?  So what.  You're at a point where it's going to be okay.  You're in no danger of living on the street because of it.  If the convictions she has that she quietly mentions here and there are really something she cares about, NOW is the time to really use your voice.  Loudly!  

The truth is, Taylor is in a similar situation as many women in America. She may be liberal, but as for her partner and their friends? That's a different story. It's ideal to find someone who has all the same values, but it just doesn't turn out that way sometimes.  I understand her.

 

When I was at uni, 3 of my closest friends were right wingers. Not extremists ofc but still. We knew we didn't vote the same and had different upbringings, political stances, etc but we also had a ton of stuff in common when it comes to interests and we shared the same oOooOoomph when we were getting ready to go to the clubs and pull some d . We just knew not to discuss politics bc things would get heated. And that's me, a random nobody no one checks for. I can only imagine how challenging it might be for someone as famous as Taylor to navigate such situations in public, especially when her boyfriend's surroundings (or he himself idk I don't follow her or him like that) tend to be MAGitas

swifties and kpop fans are way better at actually defending their favs than everybody else and that plays a part here. Other bases might whine and fight back, but swifties actually shut the conversation down when she's being dragged.

edited to add i just remembered she's at football events with her bf and it would be a huge fuss if she didn't wanna take a picture with someone bc their morals. and also i don't think it's reasonable to expect her to like personally investigate every single person she takes a photo with. she's mega famous.
