The fact this is not for her concert but for a truck that sells ugly and low quality merch. We are witnessing Taylormania (and mental illness).

Why do people engage with artists they don't like . I couldn't imagine camping in a Bieber thread and keeping up with his every move... I just ignore him We must pray for the victims of Taylor Swift

I'm really tired of the Gaylors (and any other fandom that tries so hard to "prove" that a celebrity is gay or whatever like the larries for example).

At best, you are wrong. At worst, you are trying to out someone that doesn't want to come out. In the case of Taylor, she has only officially dated men in her life, and only commented on that. Never once did she say anything about being bi or a lesbian. I'm sorry but I just find that speculation game... gross and deranged. All that in the name of needing your fave to be like you.

Just stan and promote an actual, out lesbian if you are desperately in need of representation for the lesbian community. Leave the others live their life if they are not gay or if they don't want to come out.

The constant need to always build the most obscure theories out of a line that does not clearly state "him" is truly embarrassing, especially when she is like 99% of the time explicitly using male pronouns to talk about her love interests...

She already told us that Wildest Dreams and Glitch are related:

And if you can't see that Glitch is clearly about bisexual experimentation, then there is no hope for you.

Gaylors are such a ******* insult to being gay. It's embarrassing and tragic. Like who seriously hurt you?

As a gay, I actually find these theories completely demoralizing and insulting. Gaylors should be banned and kept to Twitter.

See, that's the kind of obscure theories I was talking about. You are trying to make an entire song about Karlie or bisexuality because of these two isolated lines.

When you look at the entirety of the song though, it's much much MUCH more evident that it's about the image of a serial dater she had vs the long term relationship she had with Joe. She was supposed to quickly switch to the next men, based on her reputation "I was supposed to sweat you out". But "it's been two-thousand one-hundred ninety days of our love blackout" is an obvious line about her relationship with Joe. That is roughly 6 years, the duration of her relationship with him at that point.

She's basically saying in this song that he was supposed to be a quick relationship like most men in the past, but instead it was a long term one. Hence the term "Glitch". Like it wasn't supposed to be like that, because it never was before.

The "go back to wanting dudes who give nothing" is about the fact that she barely believes she deserves that type of relationship and will soon be back to chasing men that will be just another quick relationship in which she just find heartache and nothing more of value.

But to each their own interpretation. Some people will like to find secret meaning from isolated and out of context lines, rather than looking at the whole picture to make one I guess.

Alright :ahh: Keep sobbing and leaving flowers at Cornelia St after years of swearing up and down that She was secretly married and having quarantine babies, only for Her to release a song saying She doesn't like THOSE rumors specifically:ahh:

Yeah I guess when you have nothing to say you just have to cling to the other end of the spectrum of deranged people to justify what you are doing.

"I'm not the worst, they are". :rip:

Normal people find both Gaylors and Swifties living flowers on Cornelia Street embarrassing, equally. Both subset of the fandom are living through Taylor in a different way, but both ways are equally unhealthy and weird.

the new song about john in the new album is a grow up version of dear john

midnight rain seems about TL cause the song is a grow up version of back to december

(this is the concept of midnights, a midnight confessional rethink of your life and what you have write about your life now you're an adult).

what's the point of a real love song about the 2012 victoria's secret model when she called er a crook the album before :gaycat7:

A song about KK in midnights would be a song about a love, then the person turned to be the worst people you ever met.

Not a love song

It's like thhinking a love song about John Mayer can be in midnigghts (just because in a phase of her life she was with him and saw him in a positive light)

the album is not about writing song like she was still in 2008 2010 or 2012 or 2014...they are about past events but filtered for what she thinks now about them. It doesn't have calvin harris love songs of course.

Girl when you say things like "At best, you are wrong. At worst, you are trying to out someone that doesn't want to come out." how do you expect people to engage you in a good faith discussion? :ahh:

Like that is obviously just stupid.

In what world do we have the ability to 'out' the Lord? Has She told us things privately that we are declaring to the world without Her consent?

We are interpreting the texts that She Herself has created and put out into this world - through lyrics, booklet notes, music videos, interviews - and that everyone has the same access to, and then interpreting it. Please explain how this could ever be 'outing'?

And since these interpretations have become more mainstream, She has clearly ramped up, rather than shied away from, these references which can either completely reasonably be read as queer or literally have no other reasonable interpretation. Unless you can tell us why, for instance, She may have written the lyric 'you could hear a hairpin drop', especially in combination with lyrics like 'friends break up, friends get married' and 'glass shattered on the white cloth'. To say that we are "wrong" for inferring that She might be referring to Karlie Kloss as the friend who got married, at a Jewish ceremony where glass shattered on the white cloth, in a sing about feeling abandoned and trapped, and where She literally writes the term 'hairpin drop' which has no other meaning other than dropping hints that you are queer, is to wilfully restrict the boundaries at which the Lord's art can be engaged with, and to minimise Her incredible ability to piece together literary symbols and references to Her personal life to tell stories that are open to meaningful interpretation.

To say that it is "wrong" to believe that 'Don't Blame Me' could be about Karlie, when Karlie literally tags Her as a daisy on Instagram and then She writes the lyric "now I'm your daisy" or that it is "wrong" to believe that 'Gold Rush' could be about Karlie, when Karlie captioned a photo of herself with that title a year before the sing was released, is also to completely ignore common sense connections.

Like this is just... sad. If nothing else, your interpretation is just... boring? Like that is not an interesting theme for a sing. Not saying you're wrong though! :heart2:

Nothing in the text of this sing makes it 'much more obvious' that She is talking about Her relationship with Joe.

Why was She "supposed" to sweat him out? Why were they "supposed to be just friends"?

Why can lyrics like "the system's breaking down / I think there's been a glitch" and "a brief interruption / a slight malfunction" not be reasonably interpreted as beginning to understand your queer identity through a relationship, and how that disrupts everything you've known before and what you are "supposed" to feel? Especially in conjunction with "I'd go back to wanting dudes who give nothing".

How is any of this more guilty of stripping the sing of context than you are by saying "2190 days of our love blackout = Joe"?

Everything about the context can clearly be interpreted through a queer lens. Stop accusing other people of nut being able to see the bigger picture or using isolated lyrics as strawmen, the call is coming from inside the house babe. Let's broaden our imaginations just a tad.

I might be missing something but who are you talking about? :lakitu:

No one will release an album same week as Taylor.

Of course SN is not gonna be a surprise drop so every artist can just change his-her release. I don't know who are you talking about but i don't think something like this makes sense in the digital - streaming era :ninja:
