I was gonna answer something there but I think it's better to let them alone with their coping mechanism. It must be hard when your favs are not only miles behind Taylor, but they are also done with creating and releasing music. I hope we never have to go through that.

The success of Midnights really broke many people in here. Taylor was already massively successful before but her getting into a new imperial era is just too much for ATRL to handle. Now add to that the historic success of the tour AND the huge streaming boost her whole catalogue got as a result and they just can't cope with all of that. Which is why they created SO. MANY. TOPICS about small crap because they desperately want to feel better about it. 

 

They will never directly admit it but the truth is they're insanely jealous their own faves cannot have the same success, that's what's it's really all about. So now we have countless "is Taylor the most overrated artist ever" threads because they have to vent. That's extremely pathetic but they don't care, they're just shameless about it.

 

And the mods are doing absolutely nothing to keep this from happening 

just let them vent, the way some ya'll WASTE energy and time writing paragraphs when they dont care!

on google you can found articles about "mozart being overrated" "the beatles being overrated" "Lev Tolstoj being overrated" "Picasso being overrated".

 

I mean articles made by some expert, critic or academic. Why do you care of threads on atrl about "music quality" from someone who listens to Rihanna or Britney Spears

you can say lady gaga, madonna, miley cyrus etc..

 

maybe cause i also listen to classical musical and everything ....I like taylor, i like melodies, i like pop music.. i found pop music (in its general definiton of popular music against classical or folklore music) and pop culture fun but I know what they are...just pop music.

So seeing people talking about how lady gaga is better than rihanna, that is better than pink that is better than taylor swift thas is better or worst than the diana ross it's just fun, like people talking if Harry Potter is better than Hunger Games... it's just your personal taste about commercial and trendish industrial music...everyone like something for some reason, accept it and move on

If anything, Taylor is underrated and unfairly maligned. This is the woman who wrote Enchanted, Begin Again, Blank Space, Clean, Dancing With Our Hands Tied, Death By A Thousand Cuts, Illicit Affairs, Ivy, Maroon, Would've Could've Should've... That list could put any working songwriter today to shame, and it's not even scrapping the surface of the quality of her discography . But it's really interesting that the two Stan bases that seem to have it out for her the most are the Britney and Rihanna stans, which is... Let me keep it cute .
