Does anyone who uses Apple Music know how to replace local files with AM files? I just realized I've been using local files for all of Taylor's albums pre-Reputation, but I don't want to lose my play-counts and such if I were to replace them.

Well, they are done with every big artist here, so I don't buy that. In fact, the bar for a "thread worthy achievement" is much higher in Taylor's case.

funny how it's ok for this forum to make 30+ threads asking "is Taylor OvErrAtEd??" every other day  but an achievement of hers (which are barely even posted) is what's the problem

She is but she seems more passionate about music and her job than the average pop star too.

I’m not defending, just trying to present facts… but all of us know that if she goes the makeup/fashion route like many others, she wouldn’t even need the gp because they won’t be able to get any, since the base would annihilate the stocks in a heartbeat, which can easily be proven by the never ending merch demand since the beginning, plus the consumption of the actual music in all forms. And in that case she would need to be doing a fraction of the effort she’s actually putting right now while earning the same if not more which is why we’re seeing many artists putting music in the back seat if not abandoning for good. like what other reason would make an almost billionaire go into all this trouble for the sake of what she could get in way easier ways.

 

and as grateful for the endless content we have been getting from the tour, I didn’t think it was necessary after the insane amount of output we’ve received in the past half decade and knowing that there’s more yet to come, still, she not only went on tour, but also giving an experience that is worth the price if not more, that’s having consequences on her expense in several ways which may be her choice but it doesn’t take away from the fact that she actually still reciprocates the same devotion the fans have for her almost two decades in, in the same way she was doing day one with the insane hours of meet & greets at half her current age…

To say that it is "wrong" to believe that 'Don't Blame Me' could be about Karlie, when Karlie literally tags Her as a daisy on Instagram and then She writes the lyric "now I'm your daisy" or that it is "wrong" to believe that 'Gold Rush' could be about Karlie, when Karlie captioned a photo of herself with that title a year before the sing was released, is also to completely ignore common sense connections. 

I always thought "you could hear a hairpin drop" was just a fancy way of saying "it was really silent", didnt know that was a queer phrase

Nothing in the text of this sing makes it 'much more obvious' that She is talking about Her relationship with Joe.

 

Why was She "supposed" to sweat him out? Why were they "supposed to be just friends"? 

 

Why can lyrics like "the system's breaking down / I think there's been a glitch" and "a brief interruption / a slight malfunction" not be reasonably interpreted as beginning to understand your queer identity through a relationship, and how that disrupts everything you've known before and what you are "supposed" to feel? Also, the “Taylor money hungry” narrative needs to stop. I expect it from OTHs but fans peddling it are something else. She’s a capitalist who cares about her profits like any other rich celebrity, no one is denying that, and calling into questions the ethics of it are one thing. But she’s not even the pop artist that has displayed the most money hungry tendencies - not even close. She’s turned down many brand deals, allegedly a Vegas residency of $200M a few years back, and she makes most of her money based on music-related things. She does not have that many brand deals for a while now. She doesn’t slap her name on makeup products or align herself with any brand that will increase her profits, even though she could if she wanted to. If she started a beauty brand or even just a line of red lipsticks she could make an irrational amount of money in an instant.

 

This narrative is tiring because she’s not anywhere near being the worst offender out of her peers when it comes to being “greedy” or whatever  She’s not even close to the worst offender either when it comes to how many album versions and tactics she offers either, she’s just the only successful one. I also don’t know any other artist who’s sending thousands of dollars to a large number of fans during times of need like what she has done before. It just makes no sense to single her out when she’s far from being the greediest person in the industry. She’s just more intelligent and knows how to market her stuff. Like it’s really one thing to question capitalistic people who have way too much money, but the spotlight being on her will always be laughable, all things considered.

Very well explained. Jokes are jokes, but pushing this as a serious narrative is stupid as hell. I get it from the haters because they are constantly trying to find ways to discredit her, but fans should think twice if they really believe it.

I wonder if they don't keep 1989 TV for next year since the album will turn 10
