This is my current fave, it's really atmospheric   She outstreamed Beyonce and Benson Boone yesterday based on the Global Artist Chart, impressive

I will put this once again but people should stop searching for authenticity in celebs/influencers etc...

 

We know all that is entertainment and the goal for labels is to sell the artist and gain money.

 

It's not a new thing, but social media and parasocial relationships made it even bigger.

 

We now live in a world where teenage girls go camping in front of an arena to see artists that appear two months ago.

 

I don't really pay attention to Addison's background. What i witness is an artist with a vision, pleasant vocals, amazing production and interesting lyrics.

 

Is she reliable? I can find a resonance when she write about anxiety, so yeah i find some reliability within her. Is the authentic? Well she has to fake it very well for making an album that sounds THAT great... 

 

Sorry for the essay. What i meant is we need to remember those artists are projects in the eyes of people who hire them. Ofc there is masquerade, storytelling (our generation LOVES storytelling) and bling.

A critical and commercial SUCCESS.
