Times like these - Aquamarine - Headphones On - In the Rain are the highlights for me on this record.

 

Overall a really great debut album, but I still have to get into a few of the new songs

Money is Everything is a snooze.

 

Summer Forever is okay

 

The rest are all smashes, In The Rain and New York are literally the best songs ever

It's a great album. The possible hits have been released.

Summer Forever and High Fashion are the songs that do the least for me tbh (tho HF's bridge is still amazing)

I keep coming back to Times Like These. So catchy yet interesting, the video has a lot of character too. Love her vibe and style. 

I already loved Times Like These but the video elevated it even more

I finally got to listen and yep this is going to be my go-to album for things like gaming, cleaning the house, having a bubble bath etc… she should be so proud of this album it's truly excellent

 

and the interview snippets I've been seeing of her are really positive of her image

Waited all day to listen in full and this is an incredible debut. Aquamarine is still one of my favourite songs of the past few years. Love Times Like These, In The Rain and Headphones On are so so good. On paper I should absolutely love New York but I feel like the other tracks suit the aesthetic and vibe of the album it feels like a track she threw on there, still great though!

"Fame is a Gun" in particular is the biggest surprise. It would be dead last if I could rank everything solely on my very first listen, but within the context of the album, it goes HARD  the (underappreciated) sister of Dua's Physical got me together

im actually shocked at how good the video is, 6(!) videos in to the era. it honestly feels like watching Gaga at her peak for me- the wonder, creativity, the commitment to telling a story through the visual medium. and i just saw a youtube comment about how the video ends in black and white and closes the loop back to the start of Diet Pepsi. amazing if true.

i will say that the songs she chose as singles definitely pack the most punch (Diet Pepsi, Aqua, Headphones, FIAG) but i really like some of the album tracks like Money and In The Rain … tbh if there's one song i'd delete it's Summer Forever  it's cute but Diet Pepsi is a much better Lan-esque song and Summer Forever just literally sounds like she's trying to emulate Lana, copy-paste , but i don't hate that song at all

 

its a 10/10 record for me. something i will be screaming about for the rest of my days while people look at me like i'm crazy. Addison is for the girls that get it, and those that don't just never will!

It seems like years since the last time I was this obsessed with a pop girl launch. This era has been one of the most fun and satisfying to follow in a minute, especially in a world where we're lucky to get our faves to drop two singles before hanging their album campaigns out to dry. Everything from the visuals to the singles to the interviews has been so consistently great quality wise. She honestly feels like such a breath of fresh air in the music scene

one of the most refreshing and awarding debut album listens in a hot minute tbhhh. It's almost a testament to how close-knit she kept the team and yet there's plenty of range on the project sonically. High Fashion & Summer Forever especially gives me Tinashe Nightride teas (highly complimentary) so those are obvi my faves. New York is also veryyy fun for the Charli-isms it provides. No notes. 

She really did that
